There is nothing wrong with being Bronze Age goat herders but the authors of the Bible were not Bronze Age goat herders.
This is not difficult. The Late Bronze Age in the ANE was from 1600-1100 BC. Most of the Hebrew Scriptures were written after that and the New Testament was written over 1000 years after the end of the Bronze Age.How do you know?
The New Testament is written in Greek, some of it quite sophisticated, the mastery of which would have probably been beyond the means of a herdsman.How do you know that they weren't goat herders?
