sorry if i spelled cathloics wrong

ok so this is my first thread so im gonna start BIG! no wait (my bad, this wasnt my first thread, my bad) BIG
ok so to start with, while it may not seem like it, i am not doing this for debate, well ok, not entirely. but i do have some questions that i do not feel my Sacred Scriptures would be able to answer in a way that would be clear, so im counting on you guys to be straight foward and direct with me. ok here goes.

one: its boring, see direct! now allow me to calrify; i have no doubt that there are many adults, and even teens like me who get something out of cathloic masses. but seeing as catholisism (again sorry for the spelling) is one of the largest denominations, i feel it should be looked upon positively. now granted, i havent been to every single mass ever said ever. BUT i have been to masses, i go to a cathloic school (i know you would think i would be able to spell cathloic right?) where we have masses every now and then. now granted i am sure i would get something from the sermon, or homily or whatever, but by the time we get through 3 long boring hyms, im asleep, which is saying something considering that those pews are VERY uncomfortable. then after the hyms the fathers come out with some guys in white carring some sort of religous book following them. from which they read, and do something that frankly i find unnessecary, but thats beside the point (actually if you want to do the extra rituals or nessecary as you may see them, go ahead, i mean, its not interferring with your faith in God right? so why not?) so they do the say the homily and we wake ourselvs up for the prayer and communion, which i cant even take because im protestant, which frankly i find just slightly insulting (i jk). so by the time mass has ended, most of the youth in teh audience has gotten a half refreshing nap, and the preist feels fufilled. thats partly why i am protestant, i can get into the sermons especialy if they start wiwht a great christian rock song, Steven Curtis Chapman, Skillet, Switchfoot, all these are good, but i digress. i have a freind who is an atheist partly because teh masses are boring, and he would rather be atheistic than go to these services. i tried convincing him to go to a more intresting service but his parents wount let him, and im worried that once hes in college that he will jus tfall into a very, VERY bad crowd.

so my question is; why? why not make a service in which the youth can rock out to some wholesome Christian Rock, and really get into a good service from which tehy will be revived for the week.

my other question (i know i just keep comming right?) is the sign of the cross, nah, its not that big of a deal to me...praying to saints, again, not that big...lets see here...ok how about confessionals? now im not cathloic, never have, pretty sure i never will be, but i would like someone to explain confessionals to me, and why we cant jsut vut out the middle man like God intended. i was talking to a freind of mine and she said "thats ok, ill give my sins to God personally" so is that wrong, are we both doomed? oh noes, we are arent we? but seriously, i would like to hear your explinations, those are really my big two issues, that i think interfere with witnessing to others through the church itself.

Hmm, well I'm not good at explaining but I'll try.
so my question is; why? why not make a service in which the youth can rock out to some wholesome Christian Rock, and really get into a good service from which tehy will be revived for the week.
Personally, as a teen I feel more revived with traditional hymns. But then again, I don't feel that the Mass is boring, teehee. I like that it's something different, peaceful, and reverent... I can listen to rock all week after all. That's what makes it special for me Someone with a different opinion might answer though, that's just me.
I've got nothing against Christian rock, in fact, it fills up my ipod.
Also some music is not appropriate for Mass, which is probably why you don't hear a lot of " wholesome Christian rock" at mass.
There are masses targeted for children and teens though, so the music and everything would be geared towards them.
The main point of Mass in my opinion isn't for entertainment anyways, but to worship with my community. And Mass is centred on the Eucharist, not the music.

I'd give you links, but I still a newbie, so I can't. So sorry if this is brief and doesn't really answer your question.
Why Catholics believe in confession is because we believe God intended it:
As the Father has sent me, even so I send you. . . . Receive the Holy Spirit. If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven; if you retain the sins of any, they are retained" (John 20:21–23).
It's been done this way, even in the early church.

Also, when we sin, we affect our relationship with the community. The priest represents the community and reconciles us with it. And don't forget that God is the one forgiving, not the priest.
The priest gives advice during confession too, plus confessing helps us with humility.
It doesn't mean non-Catholics can't go to heaven or are doomed. We don't believe that, we believe that non-Catholics can go to heaven and that God judges not us.

Please don't be insulted by the teaching of Paul, as he state that anyone not examining themselves before partaking bring judment and condemnation upon themselves for not discerning the body and Blood of the Lord.
The Church, the Body of Christ is only concerned about your well being, your soul.

peace, papist
