The young lady in the video I posted was 15 when she had a double mastectomy. She's very unhappy about it.
Sad! This is exactly why minors don’t need so-called “gender affirming care.” They need talk therapy and medication.

This is a perfectly responsable question to what you wrote above.
Not really because every intersex person is either male or female.

So, when they have surgeries to correct anomalies - they are not "reassigning" their sex - nor is the concept of "gender" at all applicable.
Your answer of "Yes" is also a reasonable answer.

However, I don't understand the rest of what appears to me to be a snarky answer. Why? And just what do you think my "Case" is?
The fact that you considered your question to be at all relevant to what I had said means that you conflate sex with the phony concept of "gender".

Sex and "gender" are not the same thing - we are all either male or female - none of us have a "gender".

XX=female= girl/woman

XY= male= boy/man

There are very few people who are born intersex which is a birth defect.

There you have it! Biology wins yet again!

But she may well function better in society if she lives as a man and there is no good reason not to let her.
You mean besides my desire for her mental and physical well-being?

Not to mention the fact that she is not actually a man and can therefore never "function" as one?

We need to stop pointing at different personalities and trying to claim that there is something wrong with that person.

There is nothing wrong with a woman who has more masculine qualities - there is no need to poison or cut into her.

She is fine just the way she is.

You are talking about sex - not "gender".

Biology and chromosomes have nothing to do with "gender" because "gender" does not exist.

There are only the two sexes - zero "genders" - infinite personalities.

Nice I choose not to accept transgender ideology, but have no problem with those who do

You do you

The medical profession determines what is medically appropriate.

History is chock full of things that were determined to be "medically appropriate" that later turned out to be utter foolishness. I suspect this will join that ever-growing list in a decade or three.

I don't think you will find much support for gender reassignment surgery for minors. Not in this forum, anyway, but medication and talk therapy are part of "gender affirming care" which can also include reassuring a kid who is afraid he might be trans but really isn't.

But there are not tens of thousands of them, as has been alleged by the right. And none of those surgeries were performed by kindergarten teachers without the parents' knowledge. In any case, gender affirming care is not a conspiracy to groom kids for surgery. It is actually intended to help them, whether they go on to surgery later or not (most of them don't) and even whether they are really trans or not..

Yes, you’re right.

We’ll see if trans surgery is truly helpful. Only time will tell.

My question was just too simple I guess. I simply wanted to know where you stood on surgeries for intersex people.

It seems to me that these surgeries do affirm a person's sex. It is very confusing for an intersex child. When they are not secure in their sex that will naturally affect their identity in society. In the past how many little boys had surgery as a baby and were raised as girls? A few never had surgery and were confused and embarrassed all the while they were growing up, at least that is the way the one person I met felt.

The fact that you considered your question to be at all relevant to what I had said means that you conflate sex with the phony concept of "gender".
As I said my question had nothing to do with your argument over sex and gender.
I apologize for confusing you.

You’re right. I feel bad for those men and women who were lied to say they were the other gender just because they acted differently.

It’s very sad.

Truly. Besides sharing the Gospel with them, what do you think we should be doing to help them?

If they chose to reject the Gospel after you shared it, they will have to answer to God.

Fear not.

God is in charge.

Ohhhh this is wild. What about Jews and Muslims that consider it a religious rite? Plus, doesn’t it help prevent infections? I know it was the norm for western male babies until relatively recently.

The title is hyperbole. Tx didn't ban circumcision, but they passed a law to target trans people that is so vague, there are other procedures that could be interpreted as being under the same category. The author gives a list of such procedures. Some include procedures regarding children with undefined sex, of which I was unaware.
