  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

This movie plays on the Trinity Broadcasting Network. Has anyone seen it? It's a wonderfully powerful example of Jesus' life-changing influence over people!

In the movie, a man named Joshua comes to a small town called Auburn. He is a very special man, for it seems that he can make things better just by being around someone. One of the first things he notices when he comes to town is a small, destroyed church building. It was blown down in a storm. He begins working on it, and soon most all of the community begins helping him.

This is much to the dismay of Father Tordone, the local priest. He feels that Joshua is an agent out to lead people away from God. He goes so far as to contact the Vatican about the issue...

It's a wonderful movie. I think it said, during the opening credits, that it was based off of a book. I'd like to find it.
