I've been clean for half a year now but I had an interview today and it went awesome and ever since I've been jonesing hard for some speed. Dont know why but its just been clouding my mind all day.

The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.
If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.
If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. If I was in your condition I would go to an NA meeting or open AA meeting. Fantastic that you've been clean. Are you going to any meetings or getting any counseling? My counselor is someone else I could turn to if I were in your condition. Sometimes even calling a friend that is in recovery and talking is helpful. Also, praying and asking God for help, talking to Him always helps me. But sometimes I still need to take some action. What do you think?

I agree wholeheartedly with the last poster but if you need to take some action to help stay clean then brother, you need to take that action. God supports us more than any could ever. But he has given us the capability and ability to get extra support that we might need here on this earth and provided a multitude of people and experts in various disciplines to help us as well. Nothing happens without God's permission! God is allowing this temptation to happen. Overcome for GOD; show him that you are capable and KEEP showing him, if he keeps letting you be tempted.

It seems to me, from what you explained in your OP, that perhaps the interview caused your jonesing. Relax; don't worry. If you get the job, God intended it for good; If you don't God still intends it for good, somewhere, somehow, for someone, for you.

yeah man, I jones every day and it sucks, but taking the action is what defiles us. just fight the devil, look at it as a challenge against the devil and exercising your Godly shield.
