  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I took a test today...positive.

I'm kind of in shock. But excited!!

I figure my due date is Dec. 14. I hope that some of our relatives don't get all worked up thinking we "have" to have this baby by Christmas...we "had" to have Natalie by Easter last year, and I caved under the stress and got induced, although I would have liked to wait until I was at least 2 weeks overdue. (Was 1 w + 1 d overdue.) With the induction, she was born the day before Easter. :p

So...I would kind of like to "extend" the due date a week or two for some people, but would probably feel guilty for lying. I just don't want anyone to get worked up if I go late. My mom was at least one week late with all four of her kids, so I won't be surprised if I'm late.

I know how you feel. One of the ladies in my moms group was talking about how she "fudges" the date a little(because one of the ladies due was complaining about phone calls to find out if she's had the baby yet, lol)... but I think that would make me feel guilty.

I hope I can join you here soon ;) (and I sent you a PM)

Congrats... hope you have a nice smooth pregnancy!

I didn't even think of the phone calls at the end.. I hope mine don't pile up too badly, maybe I can ask people to call my mom or something. haha

I'm due Oct 29th, also could be a halloween baby. My SIL has a July 4th baby.

I've been telling people we are going to have the baby "around Christmas." It is working so far. :) The problem for me is that we have relatives that live kind of far away, so if they know when they baby is "supposed" to be here, then they might make plans to come, and if they come and there's no baby yet... :o

Wouldn't it be nicer if they came when the baby was a month old anyway? I was really stressed with all of the people all over us after David was born. But then a couple weeks later, when I had it "together" and would have preferred company... they were gone.
