He has been spending too much time with Rick Warren. Compromise is always popular and easy.

I'm not an apologist for Piper by any stretch. I do have respect for him because of a lot that he's done in the past. However, some of his recent exploits have me scratching my head.

With that said, I don't really have a problem with the article. Maybe I'M misreading this, but I took it as the same way I discuss the issue with Catholics when the ask me if I think they are save. I'll tell them that that while you may be saved IN the Catholic Church, it's not because of their teachings, but in spite of them.

Well I listened to the latest edition of James White's The Dividing Line podcast (3-19-13) today and see that he has some of the same concerns. I don't feel so bad now....
