So, my husband and I were talking about the show this morning, and I said...."Gee, Ben really has a way with women, doesn't he?" :o
And then...I said, "Well, so does John."
Both of them were trying to keep a woman captive, with Ben of course, having way more success.
Then we started comparing other things about them that are the same or very similar.
~~~Both men have huge "father issues" leading to...
~~~ Ben kills his father ~ insists John do the same to his own father.
~~~ John comes to Island in a wheelchair and gets out of it ~ Ben ends up in a wheel chair, and also gets back out of it.
~~~ John donates a kidney to his father. Jack nicks Ben's kidney when holding his hostage on operating table.
~~~ The kidney "held John hostage" to his anger against his father.
~~~ Lack of kidney saves John's life when he gets shot
~~~ Ben is the leader, then John is (sort of ) a leader
Coming full circle back to the "woman issue" if I remember clearly, Helen seems to truly care for John and only leaves for good when she sees he cannot give up his obsession with his father. John begs her to stay.
But Juliette (hmm, who's Romeo???) never has any attraction to Ben....but ends up begging him to let her go home to her life and especially to her sister.
We must be leaving other similarities out ....please add to the list.
