Personality: Mature, friendly, accepting, sarcasm is her middle name. She's also strong, and very independent.
History: Jo discovered her powers when she was 10, and after a week or so, she told her parents. Being constant supporters of mutant rights, they immediately accepted her, and embraced her new abilities, teaching her different forms of martial arts, and making ways for her to evade people against mutant rights. Jo was able to mix those many different forms of martial arts together into her own, effective way of fighting.
On Joanna's 12th birthday, as she was admiring her new black sweater, her home was bombarded by people against mutants. Her parents told her to get out of the house, and just after she got out, the building exploded, the shockwave blowing Jo forward onto the grass. She stared at the house in shock, as it engulfed itself in flames, "Mom! Dad!" she shouted, unable to believe that they were gone. But they had to be. After a minute, she rose to her feet, tears streaming down her face, and turned around, running off into the city, crying because of the loss of her parents, and limping because of an injury to her leg.
Not long after, she found Professor Xavier's School for the Gifted, and she's been there ever since. It's been 6 years, and she'll be graduating this year, and is wondering what she's going to do after that. If she's going to leave, and go back to a non-existant family, or if she'll stay, and maybe find a job here.
Other: Is great with kids, can sing very well, is great at different forms of martial arts, and has great control over her powers. Side-effects of her powers are her once-brown eyes, which now are a bright icy blue, and TVs/Radios become staticky when she nears them.
