  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Yep this is my own...was feeling just a bit emotional and usually my best made up stuff comes then so I turned on all my recording equipment and just started playin' whatever came to my fingers. I didn't even know where I was going with it...but it worked itself out. The times where it's loud, that's when I felt anger, the times where it's quiet, that's when the anger would subside into more sadness and tears...it ebbed and flowed throughout...it worked out pretty well I think...

Filter? lol... yeah I think most guys sleep like that or in their birthday suit

I had a good V day, yes. I'm seeing someone, nothing too serious...but it was a lovely day. I'm still not quite right over my grandmother's death, but I guess it will take time.

Sorry to hear you're still struggling about your Grandmother, but it's definitely understandable...it'll take time and there is no limit on how long one should or should not grieve...so it's ok...just hang in there...

My weekend was quiet...mostly stayed inside because it is SO cold...didn't go to church because it was snowing

My boyfriend applied to the local library system and was super excited about the opportunity. He got his rejection letter on Friday. He actually got rejected from all the places he applied to, so we were really depressed. I can't sit still in situations like that, so I decided to throw out some applications for him. When I went to open his resume so I could enter his work history, I realized that his resume needed some major help. All the work he had put into it was basically gone because his computer was incompatible with the word format he used. The resume he had been uploading had half of it cut off down the middle so it was pretty much illegible. The part of his objective statement that was legible was not what a person would want to say to a potential employer either. We ended up spending all day today re-writing his resume. I let him download my version of Microsoft office (it will help him in his schoolwork too!). Hopefully this is the answer to prayer that we have been waiting for. We have been asking God what it is that we need to do to help him find a job.
