John 8:11 ESV She said, "No one, Lord." And Jesus said, "Neither do I condemn you;( GO, AND FROM NOW ON SIN NO MORE )

That verse is from the story of the woman caught in adultery. But that's all it is, namely, a story. When scholars went to the earlier manuscripts they found that John 7:53-8:11 wasn't there. This means that it was added to Scripture centuries after Christ's sojourn among us, and has absolutely no place in the actual events of Jesus' time among us..

There are some denominations in the more radical area which argue that the verses were added in order to make Scripture more accurate. But that is utter nonsense. One does not add verses that were not originally a part of Scripture in order to make it accurate. Instead, one removes those verses, or at the very least points them out as add-ons of a much later date to the original Scriptures.

Dear Christ`s love. We can just imagine this scene, all agog waiting for the sign to be able to throw stones at the sinner, but Jesus says instead:
"who is without sin, cast the first stone," and then we can imagine how they all slink away. God always knows our hearts, and Jesus knew why the woman did as she did. I am not excusing what the woman did, but this is one more case why I am thankful that God is my Judge, and Not Man. God sees our hearts, and God s a righteous God, we will be judged for what we did and WHY we did it. Jesus told the woman: " neither will I judge thee, BUT GO AND SIN NO MORE."
In Galatians 6: 7-10: we can read: " God will not be mocked, and we all will Reap what We SOW. God is our Judge, and God is a Righteous Judge, God knows our hearts and God knows what we need to change. We should always remember what Jesus said, while He was suffering for us on the Cross:
"Father forgive them, for they know not what they do." God is Love, and God`s Eternal Law of Justice will always give us what we deserve, not mainly to punish us, but mainly to TEACH us. I say this with love, Christ`slove.
Greetings from Emmy, your sister in Christ.

Yes, the verse refers to the reply given by Jesus to the woman taken in the sin of adultery; but certainly can be understood to cover any situation where someone is judged for their sins by another or group of people. We are to encourage them and even admonish them not to continuing sinning..but we are not to condemn them.

Yes, this is a precious thought of the mercies of God. Rather than cast aspersions at Holy Scriptures, as some like to do, let us be mindful that God recorded it all for our learning. He will not hold man accountable to follow the doctrines, rituals, and reasoning man invents in His Name, but what He delivered to us in His Word. John 8 is sound counsel in accord with "all the counsel of God".

Adultery is gross and without excuse. Jesus came to save and was merciful to her. She had to have received him to be able to go and sin no more, which is not being sinless but living by Christ who is our righteousness.

When you're born again you are dead to sin and alive to righteousness. Only someone dead to sin can go and sin no more.
