I was thinking in my quiet time after school, about something one of my friends had said to me, he said 'oh, my cousin is a christian and he says that the old testiment is God then Jesus starts in the new testiment, its like 2 different books.', as i was looking through my bible i noticed how very very wrong he was, JESUS IS IN THE OLD TESTIMENT!!!
When isac was told by god to sacrifice his son, he took him to a hill outside were jerusalem was to be built, he made him carry the wood for the fire up the hill and when his son asked him "father, where is the lamb for the sacrifice" he said, "God will provide", this mirrors when jesus was made to carry his cross to cavery, he WAS the lamb for the sacrifice.
Anyway, as i was looking at the mirrored old testiment and new testiment, i noticed that when joseph was sold into slavery, his brothers sold him for 30 silver coins, the price of a slave. When jesus was sold over to the roman guards, they gave 40 silver coins, i noticed this wasn't the same, i thought perhaps God had got something wrong, however when i looked into it, i saw that 40 silver coins was the price of a slave in jesus's time, God even allowed for inflation!!!!
God never fails to amaze me, he is awsome and powerful!!!
on a side note please pray for the christians in india who are being murdered because of a civil uprising, may God be with them and protect and privide for them, Amen
