  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

JESUS HEALS THE BROKENHEARTED

'He heals the broken hearted and binds up their wounds' Ps 147 v 3

'He sent me to bind up the broken hearted, to proclaim freedom for the captive....' Is 61 v 1b (NIV)

Only Jesus can heal the brokenness of our hearts. Only Jesus can restore, refresh and renew the depths of our hearts, soul and spirit. So many of us are bound in the past, bound by fear, anxiety and past experiences. We find ourselves continually operating out of emotional deficits and out of the issues of our heart.

But Jesus came to set us free and deliver us from the hurt rejection and bondage-s of our lives!

Remember the saying 'if it ain't broke don't fix it' Many of us read that as 'If it doesn't appear broken don't go there!' So many of us live in a sense of denial, just making it through each day and pretending that it's ok. We hide the fear, insecurity, hurt and pain away in our hearts because it is easier that way and who will know anyway? But we so often don't realize that 'hurting people hurt' that we operate out of the deficits of our minds and hearts.

Let me tell you friends we don't have to live with despair and hopelessness. We don't have to live with fear and hurt! WHY? Because Jesus came to heal the broken hearted and to set the captive free! He came to give us life and life everlasting!

No matter what you have been through, what life has thrown your way, nothing is too hard for our God and he is waiting wanting to mend your broken heart. Friend he loves you with an everlasting love and he desires to touch you and change you by his powerful love!

Dear Father
You know the brokenness of my heart and I pray you would minister your life and your love into my spirit. You even know my fears and the tears of pain that I have cried. Lord pick me up and touch me and surround me in your presence and love.

Lord I ask you would heal my broken heart and restore refresh and renew. Thank you Jesus for the work you will do in my life!

In Jesus name
Amen
