I still love this great song by DC Talk. I believe this is the hit song that helped make them famous. The lyrics are timeless.... even 30 years after Jesus Freak first hit the Christian charts.

I like this one, even though it is a little heavy for me. It is a little before my time, as the earliest songs played on the Christian radio when I was a kid were from the late 1990s, with only a tiny handful of songs from the 1980s and early 1990s.

By the way, the symbol shown at 0:48 in DC Talk's music video is known as the Chi Rho symbol, which was introduced in the 4th century AD, which I just learned about by looking up this symbol below. The chi (X) and rho (P) are the first two Greek letters in the word "Christ": Χριστός.

'Jesus Movement'
The Jesus Movement emerged (among young people) amidst of
counterculture of the late 1960's and 1970's.
- starting in the West Coast.
It had an impact on US & beyond..

Whew, I am glad I was not living in the 1960s and 1970s, even though the 1970s is my favorite decade. As a brown Christian man, I would have had at least two things against me: My faith in Jesus, and my skin color, though, luckily, racism was on the decline back then, and folks were more churchgoing back in the 1970s. But hey, is perfectly okay to go crazy for Jesus, cos He saved us from our sins.
