Has anyone seen the documentary 'Jesus Camp'?

It's a riveting, thought-provoking film that records the happenings at a children's camp for Jesus in North Dakota ran by Pentecostal minister Becky Fischer.

Very Scary... those kids will rebel unbelievably when they get older.. you cannot force these things on your children.. Jesus is not about this at all.. Ive seen the whole documentary and some of it is comparable to mental child abuse(forcing the children to cry up on stage and feel guilty and embarassed like that).. that is NOT what Christ is about....

I remember there was a part when the minister said she wanted the children to be like the Islamic suicide bombers in Islam.. she wanted them to have to same type of extremenism.. it was quite sick

What's your take on the film?

There was a long thread on it over here awhile back. One Muslim started a thread in the Non-Christian board and call the kids "Little Christian Mujhadeens" and it got merged with this thread.

"Jesus Camp," a documentary feature film that follows evangelical Christian children at a religious summer camp, won prizes and critical praise on the summer festival circuit, but it wasn't until its quiet opening in the Midwest two weeks ago that a news clip about the film hit YouTube.com, inciting a whirlwind of controversy.

I thought the movie was interesting. We watched it with our youth group. For a documentary, I thought it was very prejudicial though - especially the music. Obviously, I have no idea what footage was left on the cutting room floor, but I doubt there was much negative footage left out of the final cut. With that said, I found the methods and tactics of "USING" children to be despicable.

Brainwashing indoctrination and militant political propaganda, especially with kids, is wrong in any scenario. Just because this one has a "Christian" label to it doesn't excuse it when it's not acceptable under any other conditions. It's hypocritical and it's how cults operate.
