I have a question on this passage. This shows the city of Jerusalem turned into a "plain" and a new Jerusalem "raised" up. Is God talking about the people who fought against the physical city of Jerusalem, or fighting against those in Christ that became "spiritual" Jerusalem above?
Jeremiah especially prophecies against Jerusalem and the House of Judah, but then God talks about one being "above". Does this have anything to do with the destruction of the Old City of Jerusalem in the first century, and the New One that is above as Paul stated?
And why does God mention just the family of Egypt? Did physical Jerusalem become spiritual "Egypt", as well as Sodom and Gomorrah as in Isaish 1? God bless.:preach:

Zechariah 14:1 Behold, the day of the LORD is coming, And your spoil will be divided in your midst. 2 For I will gather all the nations to battle against Jerusalem; The city shall be taken, The houses rifled, And the women ravished. Half of the city shall go into captivity, But the remnant of the people shall not be cut off from the city. ....
10 All the land shall be turned into a plain from Geba to Rimmon south of Jerusalem. Jerusalem shall be raised up[elect in Christ?] and inhabited in her place from Benjamin's Gate to the place of the First Gate and the Corner Gate, and [from] the Tower of Hananeel to the king's winepresses. 11 [The people] shall dwell in it; And no longer shall there be utter destruction, But Jerusalem shall be safely inhabited. 12 And this shall be the plague with which the LORD will strike all the people who fought against Jerusalem: Their flesh shall dissolve while they stand on their feet, Their eyes shall dissolve in their sockets, And their tongues shall dissolve in their mouths18 If the family of Egypt will not come up and enter in, they [shall have] no [rain;] they shall receive the plague with which the LORD strikes the nations who do not come up to keep the Feast of Tabernacles.

galat 4:For these are the two covenants: the one from Mount Sinai which gives birth to bondage, which is Hagar -- 25 for this Hagar is Mount Sinai in Arabia, and corresponds to Jerusalem which now is, and is in bondage with her children -- 26 but the Jerusalem above is free, which is the mother of us all.

Zeph 1: 2"I will sweep away everything from the face of the earth," declares the Lord. "I will sweep away both men and animals: I will sweep away the birds of the air and the fish of the sea. The wicked will have only heaps of rubble when I cut off man from the face of the earth," declares the Lord. "I will stretch out my hand against Judah and against all who live in Jerusalem."

refers to the Church of the end of times , spoken about in the Book of Revelation ,
after the earth is purified by fire , renewed

the new jerusalem will descend , and the kingdom of heaven will begin
both on and above the earth
How can Jerusalem descend when it is up in heaven and described as our Mother? And as Jesus said to the samaitan woman, never again will worshippers go to Jerusalem to worship, but rather the True Worshippers will worship God in Truth and Spirit. So in essence, the New Jerusalem is already here and we are residing in it. At least it appears that way to me.

gala 4:25 for this Hagar is Mount Sinai in Arabia, and corresponds to Jerusalem which now is, and is in bondage with her children -- 26 but the Jerusalem above is free, which is the mother of us all.
