Is anything wrong with the JW's????/What are the doctrines of Jehovah's Witnesses? Is anything wrong with their beliefs? Please I need your information
Only God can forgive sins and only God is to be worshipped. Jesus forgives sins and is worshipped thus the gospels testify that Jesus is God. If you don't believe that then you believe another gospel and are consequently accursed.
That's the difference. O do not think Jesus can absolve me of my sins, I know Jesus can absolve me of my sins. I know by faith. By faith are you saved, again to paraphrase, to know things that can't be proven. I also know that having to understand the nature of God or His agenda isn't part of it.
Show me in the bible where it says someone has to believe Jesus is God to be saved. When Jesus asked the apostles who He was what did they say, you are god or you are the Messiah? Yes, we need be not deny Jesus is the Messiah. Show me in the bible where it says we have to know or believe other than that.
We may agree that Jesus said He was God "You are god?", "You say that I am." but I see Paul teachung if it doesn't matter in your salvation why are you arguing about it?
If Jesus is God or not has no part to say if we are saved by God's plans.
Is anything wrong with the JW's????/
They do not believe that Jesus is the Christ the Son of God.
They do not believe in heaven.
They do not believe in hell.
They do not believe in and accept the Holy Spirit.
Do I need to go on??????
1:They do not believe in heaven.
They do not believe that Jesus is the Christ the Son of God.
They do not believe in hell
They don't accept or believe in holy spirit
Sigh! Again!
Please stop! Why? Simple, because you terse responses are extremely misleading as anyone who would go to their website to check them would immediately find out. Let me address them one by one for clarification purposes.
False Accusation #1
Response:
I think that what you really want to say ior at least should want to say is that they believe that there are two rewards for the followers of Jesus. One is the heavenly reward reserved for 144,000 and the other the Earthly reward on a paradise Earth for those they refer to as the Great Crowd which no one was able to number described in Revelation. That is a BIG difference from what you just said-don't you think?
------------------------------
False Accusation 2:
Wrong! The first thing they teach all newcomers is that Jesus is indeed the Son of God. In fact, if you do not acknowledge this they will not baptize you. They spent a full three weeks explaining to me why Jesus had to die for our sins.
So what you really mean to say or at least should mean to say is that among all the other titles and names Jesus enjoys they believe that he also has the Title of being God''s Chief messenger and commander in Chief of all the angels and as such is identified with Michael and in no way consider it as nullifying his unique precious position as Only Begotten Son of God and Savior of mankind. Right?
--------------------------------------------
False Accusation: # 3
Response:
You are getting a little closer to the truth but are still a bit off. They do believe that the word hell is used but consider it a mistranslation of sheol, in the OT and a mistranslation of Gehenna and Tartarus in the NT. If you read Jude you will notice that Tartarus has nothing to do with human beings or even fire. It is a dark gloomy place reserved for the abasement of angels. who disobeyed god during the Flood by having unnatural relations with women. So translating it as "hell" is misleading.
The Word Sheol in the OT, if you take time to research which obviously you don't, you will find that it refers to the grave where all imperfect mankind winds up. So in their translation they are true to the original Hebrew and translate it as the grave or use sheol instead of hell since it has absolutely NOTHING to do with that blasphemous idea of roasting people alive forever.
So they are to be commended in that respect.
The word translated as hell in the NT by helffirist translators with eternal torture, hell-firist agendas is really nothing more than the word Gehenna which refers to a location outside the walls of Jerusalem where refuse was dumped at one time and there were maggots and fire consuming. So Jesus used it as a symbol of total destruction without the hopes of a resurrection.
So there again they are to be commended for accuracy and for not spreading the satanic lie that God sadistically roasts people alive forever.
----------------------------------------------------------
False Accusation # 4
Now that is weird! We always prayed for and asked for God's holy spirit just before going out in the house to house ministry, before each and every meeting add before every Bible study. So your accusation really is strange.
I think that what you really mean is that JWS don't believe that the holy spirit is a third person of the Trinity-right? Instead they believe it is the power which God uses to accomplish his will such as the creation of the heavens and earth, miracles such as the parting of the Red sea, empowering his servants as he did with Samson, and giving his servants guidance and wisdom and during the first Century, bestowing the gift of tongues and power to perform miracles themselves. That's what you should really mean for the sake of honesty?
Please note that I am no longer a JW nor do I agree with all of their teachings. However, I would never go about accusing them of believing things that they don't. Why? Well, first because as a Christian I am under obligation to speak truth just as Jesus did. If I don't, then I would be imitating the Father of all Lies which is Satan and I definitely don't want to do that.
So my suggestion as one Christian to another, assuming that you are a Christian of course and not just some irate bitter X Witness out for blood, or some hate infused demonized individual who can't help himself and must lie, is that you be very careful in how you describe what others believe lest you find yourself in that unsavory category of a Satan imitator.

All I have said can be confirmed here:
Jehovah’s Witnesses—Official Website: jw.org
WRONG! JW's are Not Christians!!! They are a CULT.
FACT .............
Jehovah’s Witnesses believe that Christianity died with the last of the apostles. They believe Christianity was not resurrected until their founder, Charles Taze Russell, began organizing the Watchtower Society in the 1870s. In their view the cross is a pagan symbol adopted by an apostate church and salvation is impossible apart from the Watchtower.
FACT.........
The Watchtower Society compromises the nature of God. They teach their devotees that the Trinity is a “freakish-looking, three headed God” invented by Satan and that Jesus is merely a god. In Watchtower theology Jesus was created by God as the archangel Michael, during his earthly sojourn became merely human, and after his crucifixion was re-created an immaterial spirit creature. JWs also deny the physical resurrection of Jesus. According to Russell, the body that hung on a torture stake either “dissolved into gasses” or is “preserved somewhere as the grand memorial of God’s love.”
FACT............
The Watchtower teaches that only 144,000 people will make it to heaven while the rest of the faithful will live apart from Christ on earth. Thus in Watchtower lore there is a “little flock” of 144,000 who get to go to heaven and a “great crowd” of others who are relegated to earth. The heavenly class are born again, receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit, and partake of communion; the earthly class do not. To substantiate the notion that heaven’s door was closed irrevocably in 1935, JWs point to “flashes of prophetic light” received by Joseph F. Rutherford at a JW convention in Washington D.C. Other false “flashes of prophetic light” include Watchtower predictions of end-time cataclysms that were to occur in 1914…1918…1925…1975.
FACT..........
Under the threat of being “disfellowshipped,” Jehovah’s Witnesses are barred from celebrating Christmas, birthdays, or holidays such as Thanksgiving and Good Friday. Even more troubling are Watchtower regulations regarding vaccinations, organ transplants, and blood transfusions. In 1931, JWs were instructed to refuse vaccinations—by 1952, this regulation was rescinded. In 1967, organ transplants were ruled a forbidden form of cannibalism—by 1980, this edict was erased. In 1909, the Watchtower produced a prohibition against blood transfusions. No doubt, this too will one day become a relic of the past. In the meantime, tens of thousands have not only been ravished spiritually by the Watchtower Society but have paid the ultimate physical price as well.
FACT.........
Jehovah’s Witnesses claim that the New World Translation (NWT) is the “work of competent scholars.” Conversely, they contend that other Bible translations are corrupted by religious traditions that are rooted in paganism. In reality, the NWT is the work of a Bible Translation Committee with no working knowledge of biblical languages. Their bias is so blatant that Dr. Bruce Metzger, professor of New Testament at Princeton, not only characterized the NWT as a “frightful mistranslation” but as “erroneous,” “pernicious,” and “reprehensible.”
FACT.........
The NWT mistranslates the Greek Scriptures in order to expunge the deity of Jesus Christ. Against all credible scholarship, Jesus is downgraded from God to “a” god in John 1 and demoted from the Creator of all things to a mere creature who created all other things in Colossians 1. According to the translation committee of the Watchtower Society, as noted above, Jesus was created by God as the archangel Michael, during his earthly sojourn was merely human, and after his crucifixion was recreated an immaterial spirit creature.
Now I can go on and on if you choose to do so but any normal person, who is not brainwashed by the false teachings of the JW's can see that this is a CULT and is as far from Christianity as a snake is from a Bird.
Proverbs 12:22 ESV
Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord, but those who act faithfully are his delight.
John 8:44 ►
New International Version
You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father's desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies.
Galatians 5:22-23 (NIV)
22 But the fruit' of the Spirit is love data- joy, peace forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.
Luke 23:34 ►
New International Version
Jesus said, "Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing."
Psalm 103:
…13Just as a father has compassion on his children, So the LORD has compassion on those who fear Him. 14For He Himself knows our frame; He is mindful that we are but dust.
Matt 9: 35Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every disease and sickness. 36When He saw the crowds, He was moved with compassion for them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. 37Then He said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few.…

…1 Cor 49And just as we have borne the likeness of the earthly man, so also shall we bear the likeness of the heavenly man. 50Now I declare to you, brothers, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable. 51Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed—

MIGHT
I haven't read you entire diatribe in detail but simply skimmed and noticed the general un Christian attitude and continued dishonesty.
False accusation:
This entire rambling diatribe is straw man since I was responding to the inaccuracies you blatantly posted as truth and not to whether they represent Christianity accurately or not. Of course. you are entitled to your opinion. However, you continue lying as before by now accusing me of something I did not argue for or against. That is a very clever way to deviate attention from all the lies you posted and making it seem as if the issue were JWs Christianity which it was definitely not.
You also totally ignore that I clearly stated that I am no longer a JWS and do not agree with all of their doctrines and proceed to describe me as a JWs.
Sorry but once more that constitutes an imitation of Satan by posting a lie.
BTW
I strongly suggest caution lest the Devil consider your habitual lying as a request for adoption:
Non Christian attitude:
Please note that very focused bitterness and rage isn't characteristic of God's holy spirit.
I truly suggest that if indeed those who wish to preach the gospel and are really concerned about the eternal destiny of other human beings as the Bible tells you to be in imitation of Christ-that you strive to illuminate others instead of angrily attacking them as if they were worthless simply because they might presently be mislead.
New
That conveys a smug self-righteous attitude typical of the Pharisees who considered the ignorant common people to be under a curse. Jesus in contrast was merciful and tells us that the ignorant deserve forgiveness and that to him they appear as sheep without a shepherd.
Any extremely bitter, hate-filled condemnatory diatribe of a sincere people whom are seeking God and are seeking to accept his Son as their Savior and whom Jesus sees as worthy of compassion due to ignorance, clearly demonstrates a lack of guidance from God's holy spirit. It falls under another category instead.
If indeed you were, then you would be reflecting God's loving merciful personality and you definitely are not. Not by a long-shot.
BTW
I am not under any obligation to try to refute any claim that I never made nor argue against issues I never proposed simply because you have no qualms in dishonestly misrepresenting what I said as you misrepresented what they believe.
So if indeed I do address any of the issues yu bring up-it isn't because I introduced them. It might be simply to point out how you irresponsibly continue to post lies you claim are true simply because you imagine them to be and have not researched because research, in order to assure accuracy, just isn't part of your preferred modus operandi .
Accusing me of belonging to a religious organization that I don't identify with is against the forum rules. Also identifying me as lost is also against the forum rules.I would not expect anything less than a personal attack from a lost person trying to explain his cult.
There is absolutely NO WAY for you to refute the truths and facts posted for you. You can spin or believe the lies and falsehoods of the Watch Tower if you so choose...........but refute, IMPOSSIBLE!
Unfortunately, when the Jehovah's witnesses ladies come to my door they do not stay long enough to carry on a meaningful conversation, so much of my information has been gathered indirectly through secondary sources such as this thread. I think my gender (male) has much to do with the brevity of their visits.
However, I did share a motel room once with a JW gentleman. There was one thing on which we were in full agreement - he was definitely not going to heaven.
Accusation:
Response:
All Christianity was considered a CULT once by the Jews. So I guess they are in good company,.
BTW: Angered name calling proves NOTHING. Also, the feeling they have for us as false Christians is mutual.
---------------------------------------------
False Accusation:
Response:
False: They claim that after the death of the apostles the apostasy BEGAN to gradually creep in until it finally predominated when Constantine became Emperor.
That’s a full approx 300 years you are ignoring. Also false is your claim that they believe that true Christianity TOTALLY disappeared. They always reminded us in their literature that there were always remnants of true worship and true worshipers present during the time that elapsed until the restoration.
True, they alone consider themselves the restoration based on their perception that they alone resemble 1st century Christianity in being apart from the world, on strictly upholding the moral Christian requirement’s, and most importantly, because the feel that thay alone are imitating Jesus by vindicating Jesus’s Father’s name.
-----------------------------------------------------
Response:
False!
1. As I clearly explained to you in my last post but you cunningly choose to ignore, they teach that Jesus was created as the only begotten son of God and that one of the titles he holds is Michael the chief of all angels. Angel means messenger-BTW. A little research would have told you that. In short, what you WANT or NEED to believe of JWs isn’t necessarily what they actually believe. Judging by your constant inaccuracies, it is probably safe to assume that it is just the opposite. LOL!
2. They do not claim that Jesus became merely a regular joe. They teach that he became the equivalent of the first Adam, and therfore was perfect physically and mentally and sinless.
3. What Russell taught once isn’t exactly what JWs believe today. So you are cunningly using a source that it very often totally inaplicable. I suggest a little more honesty in order to conserve what little believability you might still enjoy amongst your gullible followers.
What JWS teach is that Jesus’s Earthly body was consumed as all sacrifices under Law were required to be consumed. the rest is your pathetic attempt at ridicule.
BTW
The Shroud of Turin indicates the Jesus bogy underwent a transformation.
------------------------------------------------
Partially False accusation:..
Response:
True about 144000
Lie about those on Earth:They teach that those on Earth will live under the blessings of God’s kingdom under the rulership of Christ.
There is no separation from Christ if one is faithful, That is an absurdity.
What you really mean is that you consider to be with Christ to be with him in heaven and that to be on a Paradise Earth as Adam and Eve were is to be separated from Christ. That has absolutely no scriptural support since we are with Christ right now if we have faith in his Ransom Sacrifice and ware citizens of God’s kingdom even if we are on Earth.
But there is a serious flaw in your thinking about the New World and those who will be allowed to live there. This is revealed by your derogatory use of the word “relegated” and your depiction of such persons as being totally separated from Christ.
Instead those living on Earth after Armageddon are described as being blessed in fulfillment of the prophecies found in the OT in the books of Isaiah and Malachi, which include a mention of Christ as bringing about a transformed Earth where righteousness is to dwell.
-------------------------------------------------------------
True Accusations:
Response:
1. True about the predictions which didn’t come true.
2. True about only 144,000 being born again.\
3. True that only they are permitted to participate of the emblems during the celebration of the Lord’s Evening Meal or Last Supper.
------------------------------------------------------
Accusation
Response:
True. They do not participate in celebrations which can be traced back to pagan sources and are also told not to allow blood transfusion or eat blood based on the prohibition mentioned in Genesis, mentioned under the Law of Moses and mentioned in the NT. Some have indeed died by refusing a blood and others perhaps for not allowing a transplant during the time it was said to be sinful.
BTW
First Century Christians also refused to eat blood. Look it up. It is common knowledge.
