Please talk to God about Jeff, a young doctor who was just diagnosed with Hogkin's disease in Dallas. Jeff is a newly wed and is just finishing up med school. His new wife (my sister's stepdaughter) noticed a bump on his neck, and when he went to have to checked out, it was the lymph cancer called Hogkin's disease. Hogkin's disease can be very curable, or it can be fatal. Please keep this young man and his family in your prayers, asking Him to heal Jeff for the sake of all those people in all the world who have no doctor. Pray that God would not only heal Jeff, but use this to call him to serve somewhere where there is no doctor now. Amen. Thanks!

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I pray that God helps everyone involved with Jeff's treatments and that He comforts Jeff's wife and family.
