Name: Jay
Age: 20 something.
Race: Human (mutant)
Alias: Hellfire
Power: In his normal state, Jay constantly has a faint orange mist or haze floating off of his person. His eyes glow a bright orange. He has the ability to increase the intensity of this mist/haze into a much more "solid" thing to a point where he is completely encased in what appears to be a burning inferno. In reality, this "hellfire," as he calls it, is made up of strange particles that causes things they react with to break down and combust. He can control this hellfire in all manner of directions out to about 100 feet. On the highest intensity, it usually vaporizes that which it touches.
Originally, these particles radiated only from Jay's eyes. His look could destroy if he wasn't careful. However, the radiation has become so spread out over his body that he can stare for as long as he wants at something and it will not combust. If he radiates at maximum intensity for more than a few minutes, he begins to feel weak and dizzy.
Bio: A few years ago, Jay came to the Xavier institute as a ragtag student. He was running from his shadowy past. He was asked to form a new team of X-Men with a few other students, but that quickly fell apart. Eventually his past got a bit too close for comfort and he had to leave in order to protect himself and others at the institute. Things have cooled down a bit, so to speak, and he once again finds himself at the institute. His powers have developed far beyond what they once were and he seeks to gain a bit more understand of them as well as find a stable shelter.
Other Random Info: Jay does wear a special body suit under his clothing. It includes gloves. This suit is made of a special material laced with bits from his skin (which is immune to the radiation of the hellfire particles). This allows him to touch things/people and generally interact with the world normally. However, he can't really hide the constant orange haze that radiates from him or his bright, glowing orange eyes.
