Japanese television?

Since so many people are in love with Japanese animation, and so many people say that the reason they like Japanese animation is the complex storylines, I was wondering...
How many of you have watched Japanese movies or television dramas?
I mean besides Kurosawa...
"Radio no Jikan", "Odoru Daisousasen", "Shinsengumi", "Shall We Dance", "Zattouichi" for starters.... and those are the most famous titles.

Have you see any? What do you think?

I've never really seen any japanese dramas. But Ive seen anime episodes on DVD's. Which I really love.

It's truth that it would be nice to catch some Japanese culture that isn't in cartoon form, and drama is always good stuff, but what're these shows about?

Ive seen a few movies. Not really dramas tho... Im trying to get my hands a a movie called "Returner" now..
