Anyone besides me think this guy is quite the under-rated physical comic?

Didn't watch the Family Matters show originally, now enjoy it now and then in syndication. I think he's great!

Oh my goodness! :o I'm so sorry about that!

BUT! Did you know that the young woman who played Myra DID die? So sad, she was so very talented. Such a great actress and really too bad she's not still around, she was very funny. (she also played Theo's girlfriend on the Cosby show at one point, but I know her from Myra Bootrose Bootrose Mugghouse on Family Matters.)

He was on a short-live show - forget what is was called.

Last I looked, he was writing a blog about basketball. There was a nice interview with him and he was asked about his Christian faith.

Try googling his name and you may find what I'm referring to.

Jaleel was great as Steve Urkel . I hope they do a FAMILY MATTERS reuion show some day adn Steve Urkel will come back. I didn't know about the young lady though ,could you plese elborate :what was her real name and where can we find more info. I would like to know more. Thank YOu.

Here's her picture and her real name is Michelle Thomas. If you google her name and Family Matters, you can find articles and fan sites about her.

She was so funny, beautiful and talented. What a shame!

I totally agree!

That's just it, Jaleel White has so much going for him. He can be funny and goofy or smooth and sophiticated.

I'm kind of surprised he's not working in some way, shape, or form - acting wise, that is. Perhaps he doesn't want to anymore.

And, he was really good at a very young age.

Well, we'll see what the future holds.

Jaleel White is great! I'm a frequent watcher of Family Matters and think the beginning episodes were....lacking something. Add an Urkle and-BAM-you got a fabulous show.

I like Family Matters, and Jaleel White seemed to have become an overnight sensation on this show.

White played three other characters other than Steve Urkel. I liked when he played Stephan Urquelle (changed himself in his Transformation Chamber so Laura would like him better), and also when he played Cousin Myrtle. He also used his transformation machine to turn himself into a Bruce Lee type!

correction, he play 4 characters. Myrle, Steve, Stefan, AND his gangsta cousin OGD. But OGD had only one episode, so it was an easy mistake.- oh, yea, and Bruce Lee, AND Elvis......

I also thought that this thread was discussing the rumour about him being dead. There was a hoax going on not too long ago saying that he'd committed suicide in his apartment and left a note saying, "Did I do that?"


As for a Family Matters reunion... not sure if they'll do that. One of the younger sisters (Jaimee Foxworth) who was on the show during the earlier seasons (but later fired) became a porn star. Saw her on Oprah.

Apparently he is a writer now, but it looks like he may also be staying out of the spotlight. His blog hasn't been updated in over a year, and his website only says that the rumors of him being dead are false.

Now, the big question, is he single?

We've really enjoyed watching the show...

I loved how Steve finally gets the girl! It was kind of amazing seeing Laura polka-ing once they decided to get married.

The show is silly and fun. But it also had a lot of strong messages that came through. AND they got to talk about the Lord in a vague way.

I didn't hear the rumor that he was dead and I'm glad he's not.

But my understanding is that he said he wouldn't reprise the role.
