I hope this song doesn't depress people, but I find Annie Lennox so touches on some kinds of human experience and emotion, that I connect with the song. But I also find it doesn't reach to the hope of the Gospel. This song it seems to me kind of plumbs the depths of some sorts of people's experience in the modern world. I wonder even if maybe of the sort of experience that could be a prelude to christian faith?
