His tennis shoes have been tied for months (although he does take them off), and he walks with a hunch that allows anyone over 5' to tower over him. Ivan's mussed hair is a light brown, and his eyes are hazel, although no one has been able to see them for years.

He has little concept of normality, so his personal dreamscape changes as erratically as his sleeping patterns, going from a relatively normal desert to the void of space in the blink of an eye.
Appearance:
Gresholm is a pale gray, so nearly white that a casual observer would think him white unless he stood against a truly white backdrop. He is small and frail, only four feet tall and, if anyone had thought about it, eighty pounds. But Gresholm has never thought about his own weight, so it remains indeterminate - with the effect that he weighs whatever bystanders think he weighs (or want him to weigh). However, Gresholm walks with perfect posture, making full use of his four feet.
Gresholm's entire body (even his T-shirt, khaki pants and tennis shoes) is the same shade of pale gray, such that the various parts of his body can only be distinguished by shadow. He wears no glasses, and his vision is perfect; however, his dreamscape often has a vague appearance, matching the way the world appears to Ivan without his glasses.
