So my morning sickness has me nauseated most of the time, but I've only thrown up about a dozen times.

Because it has been so "easy" compared to some women that I know (constant vomiting), my husband seems to think that I'm FAKING it. He appears annoyed by my aversion to things that he deems "fine," and he rolls his eyes in frustration.

Today took the cake, though. We had some roofing guys come to look at our yet-again water damaged ceilings, and I was supposed to let them in since he's on his way to work.

I have a really bad cold, so I'm already not feeling well. All of a sudden, I had to make a run for the bathroom. I ended throwing up stomach bile and dry heaving for three minutes. Meanwhile, Patrick was trying to call me to let me know that the roofers were here.

When I was "FINALLY" done vomiting, I called him back and said "Sorry, I was vomiting and couldn't make it to the phone." I could HEAR him rolling his eyes as he said in annoyance, "Oh my gosh." Not an "Oh my GOSH! Are you okay?!" It was annoyed.

I'm not FAKING! So try and show some sympathy!!!! And thus I am ranting because my morning sickness is REAL!

Sorry. Had to get that out.

 I'm sorry your DH doesn't seem to understand. I'd like to see men take a trip in our shoes sometimes.

I understand feeling like I have it easy (I haven't thrown up at all, *crossing my fingers*), but my nausea and my general aversion to almost all food is real. My husband is pretty good about it, but he seems to forget that I am hormonal and emotional and we end up arguing almost everyday about stupid stuff.

 to you both!

Like you my husband seems to have forgotten how hormonal and emotional I am right now. I'm done with arguing now because it is stressing me out which is harmful to the baby..

For the last two weeks I was vomiting almost constantly.
When I first got up, generally around 10ish then again around 3. It was horrible - I know how debilitating it is, and how much it exhausts you.

Remi, (my dh) has issue with vomit. He knew I wasn't faking, but he couldn't even be near me when I was sick, or come close until after I had washed my face and brushed my teeth.
That really bothered me, as all I wanted was someone to rub my back and hand me tissues.

I'm sorry your hubby doesn't believe you - I can't imagine any other proof you could give him, as vomit should be proof enough.
My sister, mother to 2 children told me something and it rings true to me:

"If men could get morning sickness, it'd be cured by now."

Men can be wusses when it comes to things like this - our bodies are undergoing massive changes and the hormones can go berserk.

You must be a very kind and patient wife, because if your hubby was married to me with that attitude..hoo boy! ;) (then again, I am a fiery german soo....)

Hope you feel better.

With much sympathy,
- Niffer

I can understand. With my Son I vomited for 15 weeks straight and not once did his father ever come to my aid when I needed comfort, all he would do is just say "you ok?" ... ugggggh!! With this one I've barley vomited but when I did it was the same thing ... I'm praying for your comfort hon, It does get better -- and eventually you won't have to "fake" (I think we'd rather fake it than it be the real thing, but hey...it's just a sigh our body is taking care of baby) ... being sick anymore>
