It's not about looks but the heart

I have learned from the things i did growing up that if we put our faith in the flesh God will never gives us what we desire......I learned from my past relationships that all those where of the eyes and that was it.......God wants us to look on the inside of a person.....What will always be there and not what is skin deep....Beauty fades over time but a heart after Gods own heart never fades.

"rather let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the incorruptible beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of God." (1 Peter 3:4)

First, we need to be about pleasing our Father, by being gentle and quiet in His love . . . not first about finding someone to give us what we want.

"Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day." (2 Corinthians 4:16)

In us, we become more and more new in God's love, though our outward man is getting older. So, someone older and more mature in Jesus can be better companionship > if the person is like Jesus (c: and if we appreciate how Jesus is, we will be more attracted to ones who are like Jesus, not only to ones with interests similar to our own.

That's another thing ones can be fooled about > not only can we judge by how nice looking someone is, but we can tend to prefer someone with our interests. But as we grow in Jesus, our interests and preferences will not stay the same.

God knows which way someone is growing and going; so I would say it is wise to submit to Him to choose, since He knows each of us (c:

I'd much rather have a woman with a few pounds on her, if she's nice and happy-go-lucky, and always has a cute smile on her face, that's attractive to me, and is what I'm currently looking for, I am also attracted to nerdy girls with glasses, I think that's hot, It is also hot when she's happy a lot of the time, regardless of the outward appearance.

I've currently got my eye and attention on a girl I've met working at the gas station in my town, she's short, always has a very attractive smile on her face, and she laughs, she wears glasses and looks a little nerdy and since I think that's hot, then, (and yes she's got a couple of pounds on her, but I don't care about that) She's beautiful to me, I haven't asked her if she's single or not, but I plan on it, and if she is single, I'm going to ask her out, because I think she might be beautiful on the inside, I don't know, I'll find out...

I just got out of a relationship with a woman who is physically very beautiful, but she's a very, very, Oh, so very, miserable woman. So, I want a happy-go-lucky woman. Why is it that women who have had looks on their side all of their life, are so very miserable inside?

I think I know what it is about women who have had looks on their side all of their life... They are constantly hit on by men, and the woman would probably describe it as being "preyed" upon, they feel like a piece of meat, and attract lots of men who are only seeing the physical beauty, and are not in the relationship for what's on the inside, but are only in it, because they are so enamored by the woman's physical beauty, and that's the main reason their in the relationship, because of the lust, lust not love, of the eyes.

So, it's hard for women with physical beauty on their side, to sort through all the animals they attract and find a "man", a real man, interested in something more than just physical beauty...

Whereas women who have not been preyed upon their entire life, appreciate it when a man takes notice of them, But, I don't claim to know what all women think, and I don't think you can generalize "all" women, maybe my womenfolk can help us out with this, I don't know, any womenfolk out there want to provide their take on this?
