Certainly it is true we could have much debate over when do you become you. However, there should be no debate over the fact that the Nazis were not carrying out some subjective moral agenda, but acting in accord with the Reformations principles laid down in Germany by Martin Luther and other raging Christian anti-Semitics. As I said before, everyone should read Luther's "The Jews and their Lies," which makes it very plain that the only difference between Luther and Hitler was that Hitler had the technical means to carry out Luther's ideas.
Otherwise I believe that abortion should be legal, it should be safe, it should be available and it should be the woman’s informed choice but most important of all --- it should be rare.
Every now and again the first cell division does not produce a two celled embryo but rather a second zygote --- identical twins. Did Mary suddenly become two persons?
As I said to Scott, learn to live with the fact that you are on the wrong side of history and the wrong side of this issue.
"The intellective soul i.e., true person is created by God at the completion of man's coming into being." -- St Thomas Aquinas
What's the objective age that you're an adult?
"In the rabbinic tradition...abortion remains a non-capital crime at worst."
In his book On the Jews and Their Lies he laid out a seven point plan:
- to burn down Jewish synagogues and schools and warn people against them;
- to refuse to let Jews own houses among Christians;
- for Jewish religious writings to be taken away;
- for rabbis to be forbidden to preach;
- to offer no protection to Jews on highways;
- for usury to be prohibited, and for all silver and gold to be removed, put aside for safekeeping and given back to Jews who truly convert; and
- to give young, strong Jews flail, axe, spade, spindle, and let them earn their bread in the sweat of their noses.
Personally I believe that the developing fetus becomes a person only when it is able to survive outside the womb.
I never said I was. But God's word is clear.
Exodus 20:13 "You shall not murder.
By man's law or by science?
I'm familiar with the Hippocratic Oath, thank you. Why would you choose 1973 as the date when it stopped being held in high esteem if you were not referring to Roe v. Wade? By what measure is that when it was "thrashed?" What else happened that year? It seems you're back-pedaling.You need to read what I write with a little bit more care. What I said is that the Hippocratic Oath was held in high esteem until it was thrashed in 1973. I did not say that 1973 was the first time abortion had been legal in some countries. The following statements I copied for you suggest that I was right in what I stated:
Guttmeyer has always had higher figures because it takes into consideration states that don't report their numbers to the CDC, with California being the major difference between the 2...How can legalizing abortion make the practice rare? The evidence contradicts this wishful kind of thinking!

As you can see, the number of abortions more than doubled following its legalization.

Yes they were refugees and the Germans wanted them out of their country. The problem was no one would take them. So you can not JUST blame the Nazi for the final solution. You have to pass that blame onto everyone that was alive at that time that would do nothing to help them.You don't murder people because you don't want them in your country. If you believe that, you are just as evil as the Nazis.
I have no problem with refugees coming to the USA, but with proper screening, examining what they have with them. Not all Syrians are terrorists. And if they break the laws of the USA, they go to jail under US laws.
And it is not comparable (the Syrians) to the Jews in the 1930's and 40's. Many of the Jews were citizens of Germany. They were not refugees.
If the answer is truly objective, then either path will lead to the same conclusion.
Do you know about this?Yes they were refugees and the Germans wanted them out of their country. The problem was no one would take them. So you can not JUST blame the Nazi for the final solution.
The director and the principle at my high school were German Hebrews that left Germany before the war. I have just as many Hebrew friends that have the same story when their familys were forced out of Russia. There was an attitude that only productive members of society have a right to live.
If your numbers are correct, then this tells me that there were 600,000 women who would formerly have had to resort to dangerous options who were now able to have safe abortions.
