  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Thank you Jro, a very nice post.... helpful... honest... informative. Very nice. I might even get that book.

I was wondering if you saw the new article I posted. It is my goal here to post different "issues" occasionally and I just posted one again #308 on June 2nd. Thanks again for your post.

ROFL!

This made me laugh so loudly!

I have a new theory that science should take very seriously as it provides physical evidence for Christianity. Flat creatures such as flounder and flying squirrels were damaged in the fall and retained their flat bodies. Admittedly, fusiform and compressed fish may seem like contrary evidence, but it's possible that they just fell on their side. Eels and snakes were perhaps rolled down the hill rather than falling.

Glad you liked it. For further reading, here's Kettlewell's original paper on Biston betularia- http://www.nature.com/hdy/journal/v9/n3/pdf/hdy195536a.pdf
FO' FREE!

Would you mind linking me to the other articles you've posted? I'd gladly read them, but I don't relish the thought of going through the whole thread. Is there some way to hit a 'go to #308'?

Thanks! Is there a way to do that really quickly so that I don't have to bug people next time? Or just elbow grease?

I've got about 40 post per page, so I just had to go back a page or 2 to get the link.

I don't know but go ahead and bug people. It happens all the time and it's a good practice for everyone to do something NICE for someone.

Someone nicely suggested to me that if there was a post I wanted to save I should bookmark it. I thought that was a good suggestion so I'm going to try to do this from now on, especially with the specific posts I put in for this thread so you can just ask me if you'd like. I won't mind. I think the person who begins the thread should be responsible for it also.

Here's is the other article I added #53 . So far I have only posted 3.

It's a good question that I think deserves an answer. I'll look forward to a response.

Don't breathe deep and hold... not a good idea.... cause I'm not answering that question just for the reason it doesn't deserve an answer.

And THIS, not "discrimination," is the reason creationists aren't allowed in Scienceville -- too lazy to do the work and/or too proud to show their work.

Take your pick.

Are you really saying that the question of why Christian Colleges can't produce evidence for creationism does not deserve an answer?
