Sadly, I augur that there will be political consequences for Israel beacuse of this, even if they are in fact choosing the most humane option to get a sustainable peace. Ideally, this action should have been undertaken long ago under UN flag, but the UN is a nest of of tyrannical regimes that hate Israel. As the region's perennial Good Samaritan, Israel "evacuated" (committed a non-violent ethnic cleansing of their own people) Gaza in 2005 and gave it over to "palestine" for the sake of peace. As their reward, they got Hamas and a decade of rocket rain and terrorism. I hope that Israel will not act in such a masochistic way this time, but claim Gaza as the part of the historical Israel it is, bringing freedom to those who live there.

As I've said before, Hamas has to take a lot of responsibility for this situation, but israel should know and do better.

They chose to recognize the idea that a nation under siege (unprovoked attack by terrorists) has the right, and the duty, to defend itself from its aggressors… no matter how sympathetic those aggressors may be to the outside world.)

Hamas broke the truce that Israel agreed to by lobbing two rocket attacks into the Israeli civilian population only two hours from agreement of the truce.

Israel is targeting the tunnels to stop the Hamas terrorism against them. I would think that Hamas would stop it's terrorism and attempts to use women, children, hospitals, and mosques as shields against to protect it's terrorist acts. Afterall, they do know that Israel is serious when they said "Never Again."

Good, I've lost pity for people who hide behind terrorists. Maybe Israel will only know real peace after the "Palestinians" are dispersed from the levant and spread through the Middle East (as if their fellow Arabs would even accept them).

Hamas has absolutely no love for the Palestinians people and their continued futile attacks on Israel are simply a political move to gain more power. Hamas plays on the emotions of the Palestinians and the angrier the Palestinians get at Israel, the more they will turn to Hamas. They shoot hundreds of missiles into Israel which are destroyed before they hit their target and they know that Israel will retaliate.

Nobody in the region can defeat Israel so there is no point in fighting against them. The Palestinians should accept the best deal that Israel will give them and move forward from that point. Holding out for a better deal has not worked out since the beginning of the conflict in 1948 and the deal will only get progressively worse the longer this goes on.

The four boys killed on Wednesday were cousins aged nine to 11. They were hit when the Israeli military fired on a beach beside a coastal road west of Gaza City.

Seven other adults and children were wounded in the strike, which the Palestinian human rights activist Khalil Abu Shamalla and Palestinian health officials said came from an Israeli naval vessel. Hussam Abadallah, a waiter at the beachside al-Deera hotel, said the strike happened at about 4pm.
A witness who identified himself only as Abu Ahmed said the boys had been scavenging for scrap metal when the first shell hit a nearby shipping container used in the past by Hamas security forces. He said the boys fled but a second projectile "hit all of them".

Israel had a legitimate target and civilians were put at threat by Hamas for using positions in civilian places.

If there was no reliable intelligence that it was being currently used by militants, then it was an unjustified attack that killed innocents. Their blood would be on the hands of whoever ordered the attack and carried it out.
