The human mind is so funny sometimes, this is the best proof that you are still fully its slave, why be afraid to become ugly, why such a fear, it's because your mind said so and gave you those feelings of fear and so you totally accepted its view of reality? The human mind changes its perception about reality every moment, why would you even bother to listen all its nonsense?

It starts with denying yourself, this is the first step, the first step to becoming Christ-like, it is very very difficult and hard but only this way one can achieve true freedom.

Set your mind at rest. God does not care what we look like, he is not concerned with pretty men and women.
He wants the beauty that comes from character and from a spiritual devotion to truth and purity.

Ignore those images they are not from God. Read again in the OT how Samuel went to select the new King of Israel and how he was told not to go by pretty appearances and that God looks at the character.

Christ tells us to follow him we must deny our self. "Self" is different for every person but there is something telling about your post that would suggest beauty is something important to you and something you don't want to give up. If we ever catch our self saying we don't want to give up something it is a sure sign that maybe we should. Surrendering beauty and vanity to Christ doesn't mean you will be ugly but it means you are not going to let dictate your life and if it already is then offer it to Christ and follow him with this keeping you back.
