"I believe that god was a force that created the universe and Earth, through the big bang or something like that, but after has had no intervention with people, the world, etc."
My friend calls himself Christian but that doesn't seem Christian to me...
Is this view Christian?
A Christian is someone who follows Christ, and who believes him to be the Son of God, part of the Trinity, etc (et alia of Nicene Creed) imo.
He may at the same time believe whatever he likes about the creation of the world, because theories about that cannot be proven one way or the other. But the idea of a non interventionist God would seem to be at odds with the idea of a God who is concerned enough in creation to send his Son to redeem us all.
So your friend would appear to be somewhat muddled in his thinking. However, and this is a very big however, it is important to understand that Christianity is not a destination but a journey, and that none of us here on earth are 'where it is at' in terms of absolute orthodoxy, as God would see it. So therefore, if your friend calls himself a Christian, then I would say, that is the most important part of his theology, and that is the bit that matters. But if he is a Christian, and believes Christ to be God, then that contradicts his thoughts on creation.
But woe betide anyone who decides to take God's place and say, actually, he is not a Christian, and to try to close the gates of heaven to him. That is behaviour which is forbidden to any of us, with the dire warning in Scripture that if we close the gates to others, we at the same time close them to ourselves.
