Is there such a thing as a true atheist?

I believe there are true Atheists. For starters, they justify themselves typically by stating, 'How could God have created a place like this?' They wonder why people suffer and bad things happen, and that no God would have created a place like this. It is my view that in some cases this is a reasonable rationality.

I'm might turn you to a quote from the Bible, 'I am the True and Faithful witness, the beginning of the creation of God.' If God exists in a realm other than Earth, it is fair to say, in the end days, when the Earth becomes disastrous. God will manifest himself on Earth, not instantaneously, but through one of the two witnesses, the Faithful and True witness; And once he is manifest here, he will 'Make all things new.'

No, there's no such thing as a true athiest. You can take an athiest to the edge of a bridge and threaten to throw them off and the first words that'll come out of their mouth is 'Oh my God'.

Yes, there are true atheists. I don't doubt that there is someone out there who disbelieves the existence of God. It would be quite silly to think otherwise.

Again, my definition would be that a true atheist is one who has considered the notion of God and rejected it.

They would also, of course, reject any notion of a created Universe.

Finally, they would have to reject the notion that human beings have any sort of internal moral code that allows us to distinguish right from wrong. So without a God-given internal benchmark of acceptable conduct, an aetheist would have to make up their own and, of course, accept whatever moral code others might adopt, including having no moral code whatsoever.

I don't think there is such an animal.

Nope. . . no true atheists.

It would take to much faith.

lets see . . . mustard seed or. . . . have a universe, and probably more, worth of explanation. It's impossible to reason it all away. God made sure of that.

Strong atheism, yes. But those are rare..and well, you get things offa that list when you see these types. You'll also see them often espousing nonsense about some "utopia" that will exist if religion goes away and how atheists are better, more moral folk than "most Christians".
Weak atheism/agnosticism, oh yeah.
But I guess it's as easy for us to find a true atheist by their standards as it is for them to know a True Christian.

Strong atheists are those who assert that there isn't a god, and that all life sprung from non life. They claim with faith, that there isn't or cannot be a god. Not just the Christian god, but any sort of creator. Do you believe that? If so, can you explain what you think of how we've arrived where we are today?

Now, of course, if you deny the existence of God, you must also deny the existence of any God-given moral code, or internal sense of right and wrong; you have a perfect right to embrace whatever moral code- or none- that you want; so anything goes. Of course, you also deny that there is any guiding of your life by the Spirit and, of course, no salvation through Christ.

Wrong. While there are those that believe that right and wrong are subjective, others believe that it is an internal concept that has evolved with our society so that we don't destroy ourselves or eachother so that our kind can prosper as a community.

When I look at some of the heinous crimes committed by barbarians around the world, I do something think that they are proof positive that atheists really do exist. But then, another explanation is that they could equally be simply soldiers of the devil- and therefore would at least have to acknowledge that God exists.

And you don't hear of all the men and women that still kill in the name of God?

So is there such a thing as a true atheist, or are those who claim to be so just in total denial, or following satan?

Only satanists and demonolators follow satan directly. One being myself. But ofcourse it's not the Bible Satan, but that just opens more room for confusion to get into. Besides that, there are atheists that are absolutely sure there is not a God just like there are Christians that are absolutely sure that there is one. It isn't onesided.

It's why I cannot accept strong atheism. Nothing other than "It always existed", and that an uncaused cause is irrational, while stating an uncaused effect is rational.. -_-;

I don't see why if one denies God's existance that one would have to deny an internal sense of right and wrong. The atheists I've talked to clearly have a sense of wright and wrong.

That's just the point- the fact that they have a sense of right and wrong to me is strong evidence that there is a God, and they are atheists in name only.
