Is There Blood on Your Doorposts?

I haven't honored Pesach with my Messianic congregations. In absence of a Temple, I honor it according to the Tabernacle Period. At my fondest congregation, one of my fondest members questioned me about this; so I walked through it with him. When we got to the part about putting the blood on my door posts; he said "Wait a minute! You put the blood on your doorposts?" Then he playfully asked, "do the cops come?"

I pointed out to him, and the listening crowd, that YHWH said that we are to do this forever.

Exodus 12:21-24

(v) 21 Then Moshe called for all the leaders of Isra’el and said, “Select and take lambs for your families, and slaughter the Pesach lamb. 22 Take a bunch of hyssop leaves and dip it in the blood which is in the basin, and smear it on the two sides and top of the door-frame. Then, none of you is to go out the door of his house until morning. 23 For Adonai will pass through to kill the Egyptians; but when he sees the blood on the top and on the two sides, Adonai will pass over the door and will not allow the Slaughterer to enter your houses and kill you. 24 You are to observe this as a law, you and your descendants forever.

It's like us today, none of us are worthy to be saved. God looks to see if we are covered by the blood of Christ.

The Pesach is a threshold covenant. YHWH spares those who are faithful in covenant with him.

It's like us today, none of us are worthy to be saved.

This doesn't look like a question to me; but I'll answer it any way. You are not YHWH. It is not your place to say who is, and who is not, worthy of his salvation.

God looks to see if we are covered by the blood of Christ.

Again this doesn't look like a question to me; but I'll answer it anyway. Pesach is approaching, the time to honor YHWH's threshold covenant.
