Judas was never saved. He was only given to serve his dark purpose. That`s why Jesus said it would have been better for Judas if Judas had never been born.
Then Jesus lied when He said Judas was given to Him by the Father before He lost him.
And Jesus gave the Holy Spirit to the unsaved, since all 12 were given the HS.
And Jesus enabled Judas to cast out demons though unsaved.
Hello you,
When Jesus Christ chose his disciples, who ended up being hand picked by Yeshua, the Apostles, where they the ones given an authority to perform miracles? (This is excludes the later chosen disciple - that was cast lots for joining in with the group.)
Is there a difference between an Apostle and Disciple?
Were the 12 Jewish hand picked Apostles different than everyone else because they had been chosen; predestined?
A disciple is one taught by Jesus and an Apostle is someone with the Authority of the One who sent Him. In a sense, Jesus is an Apostle of God, as well as the Son and our Lord. I think because they had the Holy Spirit, THAT was the authority given unto them in Jesus absence which is why we cannot be Apostles but merely saints or servants.

Apostle means messenger.
An apostle does the teaching, a disciple does the learning.
The 12 apostles are also called disciples of Christ, because He was always teaching them - they were both teachers and students.
Mat 11:1 And it came to pass, when Jesus had made an end of commanding his twelve disciples, he departed thence to teach and to preach in their cities.

I really like the way you put this Jaxxi. Thank you so much for your response. It was very easy to read and understand.
Am tired from work, Jesus was looked at like a prophet and your saying Jesus was an Apostle from God is fascinating.
There are no "messengers" as in Apostles in Ephesians 4:11. They died out after John. An office of an Apostle was one who has seen in Person the Resurrected Lord and was appointed by Him.Apostle means messenger - there are messengers today:
Eph 4:11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;
Eph 4:12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:
Shalom.
Many have undertaken to draw up an account of the things that have been fulfilled among us, 2 just as they were handed down to us by those who from the first were eyewitnesses and servants of the word.
Acts 5:29-32
Peter and the other apostles replied: "We must obey God rather than men! 30 The God of our fathers raised Jesus from the dead — whom you had killed by hanging him on a tree. 31 God exalted him to his own right hand as Prince and Savior that he might give repentance and forgiveness of sins to Israel. 32 We are witnesses of these things, and so is the Holy Spirit, whom God has given to those who obey him."
Paul was an eyewitness read the scriptures I postedThat’s only saying that the original apostles were eyewitnesses - of course they were - but that obviously doesn’t mean that the definition of apostle is one who’s an eyewitness, only.
If being an apostle was limited to the 12 only, and the office of apostle was closed, Paul would have left it off the list he gave to the Ephesians church of the offices God gave to the church.
