 I am curious about prayer. I believe that I need to add more prayer in my life and well sometimes I don't feel that I am praying everyday. I am trying to put prayer into my life daily but I want to know if singing/worship is prayer too? Sometimes I just sing and sing the our songs for our Lord. What I mean is that sometimes when I am in the car or when I want to pray I just sing a song that reminds me of God. My favorite to sing is Rushing Wind because I am praying that God sends me a rushing wind to touch all parts of my heart. Is this prayer also? If it is then I will not feel like I am not praying daily. Since daily I sing to God. I even make up my own songs sometimes.

There is a number of questions you could ask yourself to answer your own question.

Obviously not all singing is worship, but I understand you are refering to worship when you mention singing.

Therefore you sing praises to God, which is a form of worship, do you consider prayer to be another form of worship?

There are different aspects of prayer, thanksgiving/praise, intercessory, repentance....

Do you think your 'singing prayers" cover all aspects of prayer?

Are they only a small part of the relationship you could share with God?

Prayer can seem hard at the start, but I think the fact you feel convicted to pray more... even though you sing praises often, is a good start.

When we sing to God it doesnt always allow quiet time for God to communicate with us, maybe he is saying "Be still and know that I am God'.

Enjoy your quiet time.
