I became a Christian several years ago, but have since gone through a period which i no longer believed God existed. I now believe He exists and that Jesus was God in flesh and the only hope of salvation, but can I return? I worry about the passages in Hebrews 6 and 10 that talk about not being able to return to repentance. Please answer if you have any knowledge on the subject. I want so badly to return to Christ, but I am afraid.

I think passages like that are referring to people who have rejected God so definitively that they can't come back. But I see zero evidence in the NT that God will reject anyone who repents. I think the passages are about people who are beyond repentance. You obviously have repented, so the warnings don't apply to you.

"26 If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left, 27 but only a fearful expectation of judgment and of raging fire that will consume the enemies of God"
This passage is directed to an individual who willingly continues to reject Christ Jesus after receiving the gospel (good news).... When it says that there is no sacrifice of sins left, what it's really saying is that Jesus has done what it takes to grant you eternal salvation. There is nothing else that can be done or there was nothing else that could have been done to give this opportunity back to mankind..... So; this passage would not apply to you... What applies to you is this
"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness."
Once you confess your sins to God, turn way from them and decide to follow Jesus once again, guaranteed is that God will make you clean and whole again... I hope this clears the air for you.... :)
