  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

It's not wrong. I don't see anything morally wrong with nudity.
It's not to say I have to enjoy seeing others naked on the beach, however.
Just as a man has a right to wear a Speedo on the beach, doesn't mean he should.
Its not offensive. Just... skimpy bikinis, public nudity, and Speedos aren't exactly appetizing on all people.

The OP asks: "How could something this natural [nudity] be a sin if one is careful not to offend?"

Well, exactly HOW can you be SURE to not offend anyone?

If you can answer this one, then maybe you have a point.

Many people can get offended over things I don't think twice about.
So, unless a person can FULLY understand everyone (and I think that's an impossible task), the question is illogical.

Certainly, a Happy nudity session can be set up, with planning.
Say, you go to a Nudist Colony.
You can be pretty sure that you can go around completely nude there, without offending anyone.
So, POOF . . . no sin.

To be honest I find speedos more offensive than nudity,

That someone finds nudity offensive says more about the person who is offended than about nudity imo.

nudity is fine. I have never seen the problem with nudist beaches. Women sunbath topless on the beaches here all the time in the summer. Its really not a big deal. We also have an unofficial nudist beach.

The Weight loss ticker in your signature? I LOVE that idea. Is that part of your New Year's Resolutions?

It's not wrong, it is just socially unacceptable in most places in the U.S. to walk around nude.

Yes. My aim last year was to reach a healthy bmi which I have done. Now I just want to get rid of the last few pounds (I am at the high end of healthy and I want to be at the low end to middle of healthy).

True, true. I believe no man should ever be seen in public in a Speedo.

In and of itself, it isn't wrong.

There are instances in the Bible where we're told that nakedness is a symbol of our sinfulness before God, but I don't believe we're ever told that nudity, in and of itself, is sin.

Our farm is right where two rivers meet, so we have the two rivers on the one side, and the Chesapeake Bay on the other. There are dozens of secluded, private little creeks and swimming holes there.

In the summertime, when there's no one around, I go skinny dipping all the time.
