But my real question is, is it a sin if you do it and not look at porn. Because I do touch but I don't don't look at other women.
If masturbation is a sin...then what are wet dreams?
Masturbation and wet dreams are on the same level as far as I can see.
Tho I accept that masturbation is sin to those who think it is sin.
Im happy there's a discussion about this. I just wanna share something here.
Im a young man who entered a sexual relationship with a lady, lived in sin for years. God rescued me from this, the temptation is no longer in front of me. But my desires aren't gone, they are stronger if anything. And they build up if I don't release... the desires get stronger to the point where my body gets uncomfortable and aches, and i have had a few wet dreams and they are way more twisted and sinful than anything i would ever think about while i touch, and i cant controll my dreams. I can however to some extent touch without lusting or entertaining wicked or sinful thoughts.
I've been wondering about this for a long time too, just figured i would share my own experience. What do you think??
I understand that will is involved. Those who think wet dreams are bad say once we clean up who we think while we are awake
will find that our dream life also gets cleaned up.
Shouldn't this be between the Christian and his/her God?
Paul did not treat it as such in regards to his epistle to the church at Corinth.
2 Corinthians 12:21 And lest, when I come again, my God will humble me among you, and that I shall bewail many which have sinned already, and have not repented of the uncleanness and fornication and lasciviousness which they have committed.
I reckon if believers were not bragging about it, not talking about it, or not hiding that sin that they can be seen by other believers in the assembly as believers that walk in darkness with the church not doing anything about it, they may think it is okay to do that.
Ephesians 5:3 But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints;
So it is more than just a sin between them & God. It requires His love to correct.
1 John 1:3 That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ. 4 And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full. 5 This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. 6 If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: 7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. 8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.
When any believer in this forum does not believe masturbation is a sin, it requires His love to correct them. Otherwise, that is not loving one another as He would have us do
Granted, they may not believe it, but then we are to leave the convicting up to God after correcting them ( and sometimes we need His help as to know enough was said to walk away ) since only God can cause the increase in opening their ears to hear.
