Is it your opinion that "all" of God can be contained within a person (human being)?

Is it your opinion that the whole the "all" of God, can be contained within a person (human being) body, or just a part of him?

What I am trying to say is that is there "room" enough, for one of us to contain the fullness of God, Like Christ in his human body... Perhaps if we cleared ourselves of some sin, there would be more room for more of God, you think?

I don't think that all of God can be contained within a person -- unless that person is Jesus Christ, who was "fully God" when on earth. We are all parts of the body, but we are not the whole body. Each of us has been given a measure of God's fullness by his grace, but none of us has been given all of his fullness.

In my Opinion we would have to 100% totally sinless condition to contain all of God, (like J.C. was/is) but were not, so... we can only contain God inside of us partially, due to sin...

God Bless!

What sin? As far as I'm concerned if Jesus could forgive and forget my sins, then so can I. When God looks at me he doesn't see sin, but Jesus' righteousness that he gave me. As for dwelling in us fully, why not? Sin isn't the issues it is unbelief. people don't go to hell for sin, sin has been forgiven. They go to hell because of unbelief. They do not believe that Jesus has paid their price. Similarly, we cannot receive the fulness of God not because of sin, but because we do not believe that we can.

Ephesians 3:19 "And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye may be filled with all the fulness of God."
Simply put, the Bible says we can.

So, in your opinion, if it's not due to sin, but unbelief, then a person who simply "believes" they can contain the fullness of God, through Christ, then, right?

I believe in order to be a fit container for all of the Holiness of God, belief and true repentance from sins would involved to contain the fullness of God, and become like God/Christ...

I don't believe a person can be "like God" and still be sinning, are you saying that just simply by belief alone, (and one can still be sinning) one can be "Like God"? just by simply believing it?

If we can contain the fullness of God (and still be sinning) simply by believing, then why don't we have more "little Christ's" out there? moving mountains, performing miracles, signs and wonders, turning water to blood, calling down fire from heaven, teaching advanced knowledge about God, that sort of thing?

You "believe", have you ever been extremely tempted beyond measure to try and perform the miraculous, but were to afraid to try it out? I once was tempted strongly to try and raise somebody up from the dead, but while, I felt the power was there, and I had the faith and the strong belief and conviction that it could be done through Jesus Christ through me, but, by the time I got there they had already took the body, but I was fully convinced 100% without a doubt that it could have been done (at that particular time) but I didn't get to "try it out" as they had already taken the body, but I was convinced of this, regardless of my sin, working on faith alone...

Just thought I'd share that,

God Bless!

As I stated in your other thread, sin isn't an action but it is an attitude from which actions come from. We can be a vessel of honor to contain the fulness of God when we hate sin. As soon our flesh sins (because our flesh will always be against God), we recognize it is bad and we hate it and try even harder to keep our focus on Christ through the Holy Spirit.

Sadly, a lot of the church is weakened by traditions that blind them to the fact that God's grace is all that is needed. That is why we don't see a lot of these "little Christs", but there are some. And yes I have been in circumstances where I knew 100% that God could heal someone lame or blind through me but didn't move because I was afraid of the attention that I would get afterwards. I still have issues.

I do too... but I imagine and fantasize about it sometimes, and have even had dreams about it too, and considering that I've dreamed some dreams that became real, I was wondering if these ones would too, someday...

Sometimes when we imagine these situations happening, we are dreaming of receiving recognition of how great of a servant we are or something along those lines. We must always remember to give God all of the glory, all of it. Otherwise we will become prideful.

That's specifically what scares me about it each time I think about, fantasize or dream about it I get scared, because I don't know if I'm humble enough to represent and serve God to such a capacity, and give him all the glory and all the credit, all of the time...

While I am a little intimidated by the attention I would attract from men, my main fear is not pleasing God or failing him somehow, if someday I was able (through Christ) to do some of the same things he did, my main fear is the soaring pride, ego, arrogance and becoming power-drunk...

How would one do such things without getting puffed-up like a balloon?

God Bless!

Well God is pleased with us regardless because when he looks at us he sees Jesus. Also, we can not fail him when it is his strength that we are using. As for the humility part God can cover that to. Paul was powerful in Christ and God allowed Him to suffer to remind him how much he needed God. Now even though these sufferings were by everyone else's standards, torturous; Paul did not view them that way because he saw God's grace through them. Paul enjoyed these sufferings because they brought him closer to God.

When we really allow God to dwell in us fully we will suffer more and more because the world will not like that. We can then either see the sufferings or we can see Christ. If we see Christ then our suffering isn't really suffering.

Are you saying that true prophets of God, are made to suffer by the world, but God uses it for his purposes to keep them humble, meek, mild, lowly and kind, and to remind them of how much they need God.

I don't really want to suffer, I'm a wimp when it comes to pain, I have prayed prayers that when I die, that it would be sudden and quick, due to my being a weakling when it comes to pain... I want to go NOW, right now, with no pain, and before I get too old, but I have to wait and be patient, I think the Lord is trying to teach me patience...

God Bless!

True friends of God are made to suffer by the world. And God uses all things for our good. Paul rejoiced in his suffering because by persecuting him the world was saying "I hate Jesus, you are like Jesus, I hate you." That is the greatest honor this world can someone, to recognize that they are Jesus'.
Nobody likes pain. But persecution and suffering makes us stronger when we focus on Jesus through the pain. Look at pain from a different angle. Say you get in a wreck when no one is around and you spend three days with your legs completely crushed before you finally die. Compare three days of torture to an eternity of joy and love with God. Easily worth it for me.

"Greater (more powerful) is he (God's Holy Spirit) that is in me, than he (the evil one, the true ruler of this world) that is in the world". If we want to fly our earthly "airplane' through the bad, inclement weather that is this world, we need to fly on instruments (God's holy spirit and wisdom). It is only by doing this that we may make it successfully through the ever-worsening storm and finally successfully land at the airport known as "eternal life".
