To be extremely excited to get a date after 3.5 years of being single? Im currently just friends with this girl and we always seemed to flirt back and forth when hanging out, even with lots of people around. so i finally got up the nerve to ask her, (unfortunatley online) if she wanted to go for coffee sometime and she said sure if i can find time in my schedule. i asked her online because she is very pretty and i always found it hard to approach her. ive been praying for someone and everytime i think about coffee I smile about it. last night at bible study i was smiling for 20 minutes and only one other person in the room knew what was going on. she mentioned later that i was clearly not paying attention to the study, but how could I? anywho just had to say that I got a date and now I just need to find a time that works for her!


oh and im not sure if this is 2 friends going for coffee and just hanging out or considered an actual date. anywho im excited and God might have something up his sleeve here. I hope

Im down, glad you checked out the link, my friend tells me im twitterpaited.... i think thats what she said. the asking her out was kinda on a dare even though it wouldnt have taken anything but the right situation to ask her. so i asked a friend if i should and she said yea so i took her advice even though she was kidding.... now i just wish i knew what she was thinking about it

while i was praying about this situation last night, i dozed off and had myself an odd dream. i was driving down a hill and my brakes went out, and at the bottom there was in intersection with a stop light, and someone ran the red light at the bottom and they were going the wrong way in a one way..... this was quite an odd dream, maybe im not supposed to go through with this

Either that or the dream just means there's going to be some exciting stuff happening in the near future and the lack of brakes means you're not in control, which could be a good thing or a bad thing depending on who IS in control.

If God's in control of that car, no reason to be skurrrrred.

i was thinking along the lines of the car going the wrong way in a one way meant that i was making a wrong move. oh well, ill just see what happens and continue prayer about it. it coulda just been a dream but it was wierd i dozed off in prayer and woke up in prayer like the dream never happened

nice work! Way to step up and ask her! I don't think it is weird to be excited about this- I would be pretty excited if I got a date myself. The dream thing, hmm... not sure, but I would say that there is not too much to lose if you just go out for coffee. It is casual and will allow time for you to get to know her better and further evaluate the situation and if you want to continue on with it. Good luck!

And that joeman, is a blessing, I gave my heart to many women and I regret the things that I've done, the people i've hurt. hurting myself, the pain i put myself through. I wish for all that to be behind me, I want to start my life over first for God, then a woman to spend my life with.


Im quite nervous now, i will get to talk to her tomorrow night and id imagine the pressure will be much more intense by that time. maybe God has blessed me with a relationship and maybe he hasn't. Maybe he blessed me with a new close friendship, someone i can talk to about everything and maybe she is but a passing wind in the light of something greater God has for me. For she, gives me a reason to write again as I once had. Something greatly inspiring to me, almost poetic. I love it when my thoughts flow like this, if I could only put my mind to music it would be deeply complex and rich and flowing. maybe classical symphony would explain my thoughts. im now just rambling but for whatever reason that this date happens and whatever the outcome. Thanks to God for making it happen

My brain considers it a blessing, but sometimes my heart protests.

As far as the dream thing, it could be one of a lot of things, or nothing. I wouldn't put too much weight on it at this point. Coffee isn't too serious. But it is good to preceed with caution.
