I suppose my question is about your point of view on the subject.
Personally, I view all Christians undivided. I suppose I'm conflicted by the separations.
Is it possible to be divided as a Christian?
All Christians ( true ) are undivided in Christ ( one Lord, one faith, one baptism ) ; however humans have personal preferences which are usual, and doctrinal differences which may be a problem in some areas.
See though, that doesn't make sense to me. I understand the "sidetrack" explanations of how come people must be divided based on "personal preferences". That to me, isn't a reason to be divided though. The opposite actually.
Have you ever noticed how you enjoy other peoples company, regardless of the title they have been given or persuaded to adapt to?
Of course you have. We all enjoy the goodness of the Lord. The Lord is free to work in any way He chooses.
The Word of God says that we are one. We are not to stumble upon worldly things such as selfishness or greed or division among one another.
We're also works in progress with the ongoing battle of flesh vs spirit. Combine this with how Jesus said many people claim Him as Lord, but aren't Christian and it points to conflict inside the Church. How you conduct yourself amid this conflict is paramount.
The Church is disfunctional imo.
Whether you are in God or not, that is for God alone to decide. One thing you can rest assured of, if you are a believer in God, is that in God, you are complete.
Many have claimed to serve God and instead serve wickedness. I understand this as well as any believer in God. We are to trust the Lord to do as He has promised. The Lord has commanded us to Love one another, at any cost.
Yes correct. The bolded should be your response to division but unfortunately will make you somewhat of a suffering servant. Oh wait !
With all due respect, I just don't understand the separations. Can a person be better than another person in Gods eyes, with the understanding that God does not respect one above another?
If a person that believes in God is special in Gods eyes, who are we to disagree?
That is of the world, and we have no fellowship with the world.
I was under the impression that you meant divided as in different. Not divided in a send that one group ought to shun another. Jesus teaches about Sectarianism and we are not to divide ourselves in that sense. It is possible for a Christian to be divided, just as much as it is for them to sin in any other fashion, but it should be avoided just like all sin.

Still, Christians that claim to have no fellowship with the world can be at odds with other Christians who claim to have no fellowship with the world.
eudaimonia,
Mark
I don't understand.
God does not respect one above another, but some are more special than others?
By that, do you mean more beloved? What do you mean by more special? What do you mean by respect?
