…I don’t consider ’happiness’ as Life’s ultimate goal — even from a secular viewpoint. If so we could simply add some happiness–inducing drug to everyone’s water supply and achieve it like that. Even when things start breaking down and society collapesed we’d feel happy. Does that sound like a worthy goal to you? Not to me!

Not to mention, the popular secular notion of happiness has mostly to do with "fulfilling needs" or worse, "fulfilling desires". If that is the path to happiness, then it never can be reached, because we can come up with an almost endless list of needs and desires. And in the path of all this narcissistic self-gratification, our greed spreads more unhappiness.

wouldn't you say that everyone aim in life is to be happy.
eg: progress in the society to be happy; love others and be happy; etc!

happiness = like on a good 'high' times when you aren't sleeping.

some ppl seem like this always.

is that truely possbile?

It is possible for people to differ in their average moods. Some people seem resistant to depression, whether due to natural temperament or due to an earned self-esteem that gives a sense of emotional security.

However, even such people probably experience depression from time to time. They simply bounce back more quickly to their normal mood than others.

Also, some people can seem to have a good mood, when in fact they are sad or depressed. A friend of mine is like this. You would never know she was depressed unless she told you.
