The phrase "go to hell" not taken literally could very well mean "you're kidding, right?", but still, use the latter and you won't regret it later. =)

Another point to consider if one is ever tempted to wish this upon another person is whether we are any less deserving ourselves. Are we really prepared to believe that we are any better in God's eyes than anyone else? Do we really want to take the risk that God would comply with our wish and, when judging us by the same yardstick, hope that we come out cleaner? We are all sinners in God's eyes and whatever judgement we wish upon another human, we also wish upon ourselves.......

My prayer for you is that if you are in an abusive situation, that you seek aid and remove yourself from that situation as soon as possible. Abuse tends to escalate. If you are not in this type of situation and someone is just bugging you, then you can do as Paul instructed the Roman Christians to do and heap burning coals on their head:

These posts have excellent suggestions/comments. I will most likey repeat a few of them - I do not mean to claim the ideas as my own.

First, with all due respect and love, I think that you know it is not ok to want someone to go to hell. As a continuous wanting, it is spiritually, emotionally, physically, etc. unhealthy. Perhaps there is something else that you would like to know or get advice about?

If you are honestly being abused, seeking and following through with good help will change your feelings (eventually). I will not claim that getting help is necessarily easy, but, ultimately it is a lot easier than not getting help. It is safe to assume (if not already "proven") that most significant types of abuse increase the chance of illness (physical or psychological) or even death. Emotional abuse can lead to depression (increases the chance of physical illness or even death-suicide). Physical abuse is somewhat self explanatory. But often the resulting emotional trama is overlooked. If the abuse has a short history, nip it in the bud. If it has gone on for a while, you are probably "sick of it", to put it lightly. This may help drive you to go through with getting help. A lot of times a person that is being abused will feel guilty for getting help &/or "turning someone in" - the abuser(s) (or feeling that you have). Figuratively or literally (you choose), don't believe that (or any other) lie from satan. Getting help is the best for both/all of you.

Whatever the decision/situation, I urge you to start/continue to pray.
