  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Is it ok to not believe in any god, and if its not why not?

That's a rather loaded question to ask on a Christian message board. People are free to not believe in God. I, myself, am atheistic when it comes to any gods other than the Christian God. I know more than a few atheists- most I count as friends. However, it still doesn't take away from the fact that atheists who deny the truth of Christ and are endangering their souls.

It certainly is a "loaded question", and a ridiculous one. Do you know of any law against being an Atheist? You can be an Atheist if you want, and you can die and go to hell if you want. No one is stopping you. The only thing for you to consider is can I be saved for eternity, and do I want to be saved. If you are not seeking eternal life and hope, then go your merry way. I will be praying for you (though I cannot save your eternal soul).
