That's fine if you say that. But many don't.
I don't think so. I wish you would try to challenge.
How about it being forbidden to boil a baby goat in the milk of its mother? Deuteronomy 14:21. Please explain how this is a law we need today.
That is one vile list, if ever I saw one. Fear is a sin (#6)? Not spanking a disobedient child is a sin (#64)? Wearing gold jewellery (#72)? Despising government (#142)? And so on and so forth.Number 88 on that list is crazy. It's a sin to ask someone what they think of the weather? Or does that topic become Jesus?
129 would seem to indicate you shouldn't be here.
And it's a sin to be discouraged (148)? Wow, that's harsh.
When I read 159 (getting drunk), I think of Genesis 9:20-21.
What happened to 367? Why was it omitted? Does that mean there's only 666 sins there? How curious it should be THAT number...
Alot of the ones about lying I've seen many creationists do, both here and elsewhere. WHen they are shown that their arguments are flawed, but then keep using them. What is that if it is not lying?
538 seems to be in there just to make sure nobody can win...
And is 565 really saying it's a sin to watch television if it's not Christian programming?
And as for 602, well, it's been 2000 years. I wouldn't exactly call that soon...
619 makes me laugh. False science is against God's word. Quiote the opposite, in fact.
It's a sin to love this world? (656)
And 664, it's a sin to be worried? Your child hasn't been home in three days, you can't contact them, but you can't be worried, it's a sin?
And what reason is that?
Now, I assume that since the law specifically forbids boiling it in the milk of its own mother that this is the only time it is prohibited. In other words, it should be perfectly fine to boil it in the milk of a female goat that is NOT its mother, yes?
So since the milk is the only thing different, what makes it so bad?

I also note it is taking quite some liberties with the bible. For example, not wearing clothes made out of two different materials is not mentioned, strangely enough (as if). And Titus 2:9 is quoted as employees arguing with employers. Now, stating this as a sin is already quite vile to begin with, but it misrepresents the actual quote as well, given that Titus 2:9 is actually talking about slaves, not employees. Employees are not slaves.
Which automatically leads to another fun subject regarding the immorality of the bible. Slavery.
No, slavery is bad because it constitutes the self-declared ownership of others and their lives without their consent. You do not understand (many things). In particular, you don't know at all what a sin is.
Slavery is a very idealized noble system. It turned out to be bad because people are sinful.
Wow. This is disgusting. You do not understand (many things). In particular, you don't know at all what a sin is.

Would you care to be my slave for a while, Juve?
No, slavery is bad because it constitutes the self-declared ownership of others and their lives without their consent.
OK. That is one bad situation.
But, there are good situation too.
[bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse]?
You genuinely have no idea what slavery is, do you?
Slavery always entails the ownership of other human beings. That is the very definition of slavery. How can there be anything good there, ever?
Yet always would the slave be the property of the master.Yes, there could be A LOT benefits to the slave (and to the master), if the situation is desirable.
I think people by nature are striving towards leading lives of value. People may misconcieve this, and end up doing negative things, or even believe negatives are positives, or there is no difference etc. Or there may be value relativity and conflit such that what's bad for me is good for another. But is we define "decency" as "worthy of moral respect" and infer that striving towards the good - the positive life-values - is respectable, then if all by nature own that condition existentially we can say all are decent at least in form, if not in content, if you get by drift.*In what way is a criminal trying to be a decent person while at the same time engaging in criminal activity?
eudaimonia,
Mark
It depends on how much you love me.
