So I have a minor issue and I'm needing some help. Oh yeah I have a 5pm Deadline to get the answer (california time).

In March of 2003 I applied for a postion with the state. By April of 2004 all of the requirements for the job were met and I was placed on an active list. The academy for this job was closed due to the state budget, however effective November 8th it's going to re-open. There are many different cities where this job may take me. I have a friend in the same job in the same city who submitted a reuqest for me to work with him. When it came time for the letters to be sent to new hires Mine was for Monterey county and not for my home town. I cam to find out that the request had been lost. I then submitted it again, this time it was received late. So here is my question. Do I accept the city sent to me now? Considering I prayed and prayed God would send me the right place. Or do I wait until March of next year where I can possibly stay in my own city, but in turn have to update2 parts of my employment process that will cost anywhere from 150$ to $250. I'm just wondering do I stay here with my church and family.. Oh and if I do take this other city I can transfer back in about 1 year.

Thanks for the tips

i'd say that since you've been praying about this for a long time, i think there has to be a reason that God wants you in this other city. besides, like you said, you can transfer back in about a year. things will work out. God knows what He's doing. maybe God wants you out of your hometown for a while. maybe to break you out of your "comfort zone". that's my take on it. sorry its not longer/more detailed, but i'm trying to finish this before i have to go to my next class... *sorry* i'll be checking back to see what you decide though... and i'll definitely be praying for you. *wink* good luck! *hugs*

All Great Points, But here is another. Many times something will come up and it can look like it's what God wants us to do (angel of light) but rather it's a distraction away from God's plan. I have family, Friends, a church, and many other things that I would just be trading for a Job. A worldly Job. My purpose is to follow and live for God. He is the King and Lord of my life. Does he want me to uproot? That said, now what do you think?

Thanks for the Tips All, But here is my Conclusion, After Talking to My Pastor and Friends and Family, I have decided the best decision is to wait. For one, I would be leaving friends, family, and a church for a worldly job. My purpose here isn't to live for myself but to live For God. He has me planter here for a reason. It's also funny that sometimes these things show up right before the will of God is acheived. I really feel that God is going to open the door. God also "Gives us the desires of out heart" And staying here is definately a desire on my heart. I have waited for almost 2 years, and so whats a couple more months to keep myself inline with Gods will! Thanks for the advice. This place is great
