• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

Hey guys!

So... I have noticed that it's 2nd autumn, when I encounter these symptoms... The thing is... I love snow, snowing or rain alot... Sounds, wind, cold and so on... However, 4 years ago we moved to the country, where the sun shines 350 days... I was angry a bit, but still could handle that... Now I cant face it anymore... At first, I'd swear a bit or simply complain about sun shining, lack of dark sky or rains... But i think it turns into depression.. Yesterday before going to sleep I was crying for 20 mins... I was murmuring snow snow... where is it... who took it away? This sun will blind me... I imagined how I was walking on the street of my old city, where snow covered everything, where rains swept through the fields... It caused more hysteria... I remembered me and my old friends playing snowballs or making snowman... BUT THERE IS NO SNOW OR RAIN IN MY current location... You must wait till december till It ********* snows here. I hate it... I wanted my current place to be destroyed by meteor... I wanted sun to disappear... When I woke up, I found myself tired and exhausted...
Help me, please... Is it depression? panic attacks???
P.S I also noticed tick on my left eye... It keeps twitching like every 3-4 hours a day...

Thanks all!
God Bless!

Fowler,

I'd definitely see a doctor. It sounds like it could be depression. Best to have it checked. I'll be praying for you. Remember, God will find a way to lead you to peace. That way may be a doctor's care, but also make sure you are in fellowship with mature Christian men, as well. You may find some of them have been through what you are experiencing and will be able to advise you.

Praying,
A

man, I'm the opposite. fall is the most dreadful season of all in terms of heightening my depression. I don't care how pretty it is - something about it evokes such depressive feelings of wanting to cry on just about anything. I was going to even write a thread about it but maybe that would be redundant now.

I wish I could move to a place where I didn't see fall and winter anymore. I'd be so relieved. :|

I understand how you feel. I have an insatiable love for dark skies and bad weather. I don't get quite as upset about bright skies as you do, but I don't generally like them. I especially love lightning. I hope what you have is not depression. I will pray for you and maybe God will send a little rain your way. :)
