Is it bad?

Hi guys... quick question. I like fiction...(Harry Potter, Wizardy that, Magic this) so anyway i also like to write, and i was thinking about write a short story containing fiction as mentioned above. But the preacher would be preaching and suddenly Harry Potter came up, and I was interested. The preacher said how the devil sent harry potter and how it was corrupt -and so on-. Being a decent Christian even though i'd like to write a short story, I wouldnt want the church mad at me, and i definetily wouldnt want anyone to stumble on my account.

what should i do?

uh, we've had so many HP debates on this board..

i think it's hard to understand when a person does not have the creative mind of a fiction writer. Not accusing your pastor, just that it's one side of the coin he's seeing. I don't feel like getting into a debate again, so i've dug out some insightful threads for you:
