White Horse said:eheh No, I'm just saying I think you'll find the word "saints" in the Bible can be easily translated "believers" and that you won't find anyone addressed as "Saint so and so". The way the Bible uses the word and the way most of us use it now are two different things.
threeinone said:I found the word saints used in Jude 3. Do you know where else it is used? I found a website that talks of the Old Testament believers and the New Testament saints. But I don't know what religion that is. Each religion has its own customs and bible usage. I find that as I get accustomed to particular customs, I don't mind so much. It is just the initial shock that is difficult, like calling yourselves saints. I would never do it but I would get acclimatized. If you could find the biblical definition of saint(as you mentioned), that would help.

JesseBassett said:Nope. Its still sin, because it opens the doorway to a place most married men have trouble with: Pornography.
Gukkor said:I'm know I'm just asking for trouble here, but for the sake of discussion: what exactly is wrong with viewing pornography? *ducks head to avoid things being thrown at him*

Nothing, as long as it doesn't hurt anybody including oneself.
Masturbating is not a sin either as long as nobody is being hurt including oneself.
* still ducking *

I doubt that Jesus would do it. Then again, I doubt that Jesus would do many, if any, of the things we do. To strive to be like Jesus, to do as Jesus, is commendable. WWJD, what would Jesus do is a wonderful question and I wonder what I would do if I was fully God as well as fully man/woman. I do ask myself what would Jesus do, but if we achieved all that Jesus did, well we wouldn't need one another. We'd all be perfect. I have to pick and choose what I can live with and it is between me, any person, and God. And I think masturbating and many other things we do are because we are frustrated in our lives and turn to these things to dull the pain.
Do you suppose that Jesus had all the frustrations the same as we have, bills that He couldn't pay, a boring job, a nagging wife or untrue husband, children in trouble, jail, drugs, alcohol, an abusive mother or father or both, sisters and brothers hating Him.......oh I could go on forever. Where are I going wrong here?
