God sees homosexuality as sin, which merits the punishment of hell. Treat it as you would any other sin. His words are still in the bible, but we do not live under the law of Moses, but under grace (if you are a Christian). If you have not been redeemed, then you will perish under the law that said to kill homosexuals.

Hmm..well, what I was getting at (I was round a bout and asked a bunch of questions beforehand to make sure I understood what you were saying), why did God change? I could be wrong...but was the Law of Moses not created by God? If so...then why did God change the way to live to under grace?

No one can keep the law. That is why He sent His Son, that we could be counted as innocent on the Day of Judgment.

The Law's primary purpose (now especially) is to show us that we fall short of God's standard for judgment.

God does not change. It was just the next part of the book.

Lets look at what Paul said.
Romans 1:24-32
24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:

I don't like the snippets of 1 Romans. I like to read the whole of Romans 1-2 as a single unit, because Paul wrote them that way.

Truly we are not to judge as that is according to God. However we would be amiss of our duties to not warn folks of what is right and wrong according to scriptures. THe question of this tread is if it is wrong to be homosexual in christianity? We have this answer in the 1st chapter of Romans. And Paul gives the consiquences of such behavior and that it is the result of a reprobate mind.
In chapter 2 he admonishes us that we are not to judge for if we do and commit those things, then we are not going to escape God's judgement on us.
We can not keep our mouths shut when God gives clear warning about what moves Him to bring judgement on individuals as well as nations.

Oh, I see. So, God decided we weren't..good...enough to keep his old Laws (being killed if we sinned) and therefore made it slightly easier for us on earth?

I agree with those who say that homosexuality is wrong. Marriage was intended for one man and onwe woman. I believe it is very clear in the bible. Romans 1.
Yes homosexuals can have children, however I don't think that it is how God intended families to be. However we are not to judge them but let our light and love (which comes from God) shine through to them.

I did not make a righteous judgement, if you think I did I'd like to know where.
It's my opinion that homosexuality is against the bible, however is it wrong to show love to all? Maybe you misunderstood me or I was not clear on my train of thought. Which part of the statement bothers you??

You have it correct in a sense let me trying using an anology.

Say God creates a test for people to get into heaven, problem is that everyone starts failing the test. So being a loving God, He lets them use sacrafices for extra credit so they can still make it into heaven.

Problem now is that people kept failing the test and started not caring about doing any extra credit. Some even started circulating the wrong answers to the test so people would do worse, now the bigger problem is that some enjoyed using the wrong answers more than the right ones.

God seeing this decided to help everyone out. He made one piece of extra credit that would let everyone pass the test and get into heaven. That extra credit is Jesus, and the assignment is soo simple it is just YES or NO.

If you answer NO then you are condemned to hell.

If you answer YES, you accept that you have failed the initial test so badly that all other exrtra credit will not help you get into heaven, and the only way in is through the extra credit that Jesus had created for us.

Why would God keep trying to help us get into heaven, because He wants us there with Him. He could let everyone in, but that would go against His character, being a Just God and all. He has put forth the rules, like in any other organization if someone does not follow the rules they are excluded from the organization, be it sports, work, or society.

Leviticus says a lot of things that are not in use today. For example, we are currently allowed to remarry after a divorce ,while Leviticus strictly prohibts that. It goes on to say death should be given to anyone that does. You cannot take one verse and say it applies while ignoring others. That would make you a hypocrite.

Some christian churches will hold gay marriages. In which case they are married and your point is invalid. A civil marriage and a religous marriage are two separate things.

This is one of those touchy topics. However I have never been good at holding my tongue when I have a tad of info that might help. I have not read every post with great detail more less a skim over so please ignore any repeated stuff I say or use it as a reminder. Homosexuality is a major sin and being gay is not. They are not the same thing. I can be gay and not act upon it just as a married man might see a pretty women and not want her but note see is pretty. homsexualty is the act and the act is what makes it so bad. However just like thinking of women in your head while married does not make a you a full pledge adulterer if you do not stop them and change in time you will cheat as with being gay if you play with the thought of it and do not fight it in time you will act upon it just like any other idea we have as humans good or bad. Been stated about gays being married and if that happens then it will be ok? Sorry but the world didn't make marriage God did so until he says it is ok then it is not. With that thinking if Georgia allow home owners to shoot whoever they wish that comes own there property does that mean it is ok with God? i doubt it. I am not a gay hater but do not try to justify HOMO activity with being ok under Gods eyes. He will love you no matter what , but not excuse actions against his Gospel.

I'll agree that this is a touchy topic. It is mostly based on people having different interpretations of the Biblical passages relating to the topic (of which there are few). I personally don't feel it is etched in stone as a sin in the NT. The passages relating to it are very vague and very open to discussion. Believe what you will, but don't think that just because you read something a certain way means everyone will also read it the same. We wouldn't be having this discussion if it were blantently obvious.
