  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I can only understand the world from the perspective of a mortal human being.
As mortals, we need to hope for a better world, a future. We need problems to try to overcome. If, for the sake of arguement, IF I suddenly knew all that there is to know, and could do all things, I would have nothing left to think about, nor anything to try. I would be bored. An eternal life of this would be eternally creul. Alone, I would go mad.

Is God Christ's Father, lonely? Does He have a wife? Parents? Is He lonely?
Did He make man because He needed man? Is the asp a blessing?

I know, like Blissman said, that I woould get lonely under those circumstances. I imagine though that he was a bit lonely. He wanted someone to love him, so that is why he created us. He also wanted someone to love. I imagine that is why he gavve us free will also. What is the point of being loved if those loving you have no choice. Kind of like programming a computer to show a picture of a smiley face every time you log on.

This somewhat ties into the question of If god made man, who made god. Dont wanna sidetrack the thread with that, just felt like pointing it out.

Why do people living by themselves often by pets? Companionship. I think its the same reason god would have made people for.

As to the loneliness... if some people go to heaven do they ever get to meet god there? cause if they do then im sure that might be a pleasant way to kill eternity

"Say god do you remember the time I..."
"Yes Bob, i made you remember" "
Oh right... well what about that other time I.."
"Just stop bob"

man i amuse myself sometimes :p

Namaste blissman,

thank you for the thread.

interestingly enough.. this is exactly why Brahma created. He was alone and felt lonely. of course, that is a bit of a simplisitc explanation though it should suffice for our conversation for now.

i'd be happy to expound on this a bit futher if you are interested.

No, God is not lonely in any way... Because God is Love (this is because he is three seperate beings/entities), God is perfect love and fellowship within Himself since Heis made up of three seperate persons...

Does He have a wife? Parents?
No and no

Did He make man because He needed man?
I've never read the expressed purpose as to why God made men, many believe it was to have something that would chose to worship Him.. But no matter what you believe, it must follow along the lines as we're here to glorify God..
